This tracking season has been a little different than the last. We have jumped several deer and several deer have showed back up on camera…..but today our girl showed up and showed out. This morning she jumped one and hunter couldn’t get a shot….then she went straight to the one pictured below.
This was her oldest track yet. This deer was shot yesterday at 7:00cst and she got to where hunter backed out yesterday due to jumping him at 12:00cst (29hrs after shot) and she went right to work.
This track was a little over 2 miles long, straight down the bluff line ending in a dry creek bed where this deer finally came to rest.
I love how it looks like she is smiling, because she knows she did a great job.
This girl loves “working” and she is great at what she does.

After work yesterday we cut some livers up to freeze and put blood in little containers to freeze for the off season. The dogs are going to be ready to go.

Still needing more blood and/or livers if you can get those.

This big beautiful girl went to the vet today for a check up. She is in great health and weighs 71.4 pounds!!!!!!!

Laid Copper a training track today. Took me almost 9 min to lay it (didn’t have a lot of time so I made her a shorter one today) and it only took her 2.5min to get to the end.
I love watching her work, she’s so smart!

Success #4 for Copper. This one was a little difficult. It was a gut shot that we had to give time to expire. Harvested at 9:30am yesterday morning and started the track at 9:30am this morning. Deer was located in a VERY thick thicket.
