This upcoming Tuesday is GivingTuesday. It is a day where non-profits around the globe ask for donations to help their organizations. We realize this is a very though economic and health concern time in our lives. We know that some people are suffering with lowered hours, layoffs, staying at home, loss of loved ones, and feeling down. We appreciate so much for all the first responders, nurses, doctors, police, etc. who put their lives on the line for our protection.
Emily's Legacy Rescue (ELR) has still been answering the call from the city when they message us to help save animals here in our community. We have had several injured animals that we have been blessed to get a foster in place to help save an animal's life. We are truly No Kill. We only put them down if they vet's have said there is no hope. We have had Survivor, Luna, Arcee, Ziggy, Larry, Hazel and many more that have had a hard time at life and some are already living in their forever homes. We will be sharing their stories of hopelessness to road to recovery. Some are still looking for their forever home.
Due to the Covid-19, our adoptions have been down, fundraising events have been cancelled, but saving lives still continue. We appreciate the people who donate food, blankets, litter, toys, treats, etc. We are so grateful for the fosters who step up to help save lives of many displaced animals in our community. We could not do rescue without your hard work and support. If you are able to help financially, it would be greatly appreciated. The work still continues of animals needing special vetting needs and the vet bills increase. We are getting ready for Arcee to have her surgery this next week to help her with her leg. We are not sure when she will have to have her leg amputated. She is only about 6 weeks old.
Again, thank you to our community for your prayers, support and kindness. It is greatly appreciated!!
