Please be on the look out for Tails. He was adopted from Wise County Shelter to family in Burkburnett. They dumped the dog somewhere between Burk and Denton.

This sweet baby is Enoki! We think she's a female (although if anyone who's more experienced with Guinea pigs wants to come check, we'd be grateful!), and she's all by herself unfortunately. She's so pretty and sweet, although a little nervous to be at the shelter. Her adoption fee is $25.

We had to trim a little off so she looked less like Jimi Hendrix, but Cora showed off how good she was for her hair cut! She's got a heart of gold and certainly won't be lighting any guitars on fire, this 5 year old poodle mix is sweet, has a camera-ready smile, and full of love!

Duckie was showing off her fancy sitting and her 😛 face! She's so perfect, she's house trained, good with other dogs, a huge lovebug! We can't believe she's been here for three months. She is an amazing dog, we want her to find a forever home soon!

You're looking at the 3 stooges right here. There's not a smart one in the bunch. Trooper can't decide if he is coming or going, gets tangled up in his leash when he's walking. Ron, won't sit for nothing, tell him to sit and he walks off like he has somewhere to actually go. Dobby, well his name should say it all, don't make eye contact with him because he will vanish as fast as he can. Yell out cookie and they all run the other direction, takes off like a cockroach when ya turn the light on. At least they all have a good personality and all 3 are very loveable. So, if you're want a dog and you don't really care if they listen or not. These guys are it, just pick one.

This beautiful young lady worked very hard to receive all the badges and the goodies from her cookie sales!! Now, she's working on getting the silver award. This award is the highest honor a Cadette can receive. She has set her goal at 100 bags of dog/cat food to donate to the Humane Society of Wichita County. Please help her reach her goal. We will be happy to pick up the bags. Just let us know when and where. Let's help this young lady earn her Silver Award!!

Malfoy is such a cutie! He's a mini schnauzer mix (emphasis on mix, he's got a lot of something else in him!) He's going to need a home with a privacy fence, given that he likes climbing chain link, but he's great with other dogs and sweet as can be!

Sweet, sweet Junie! She was out catching some rays and wondering why she hasn't found a home of her own to lay about next to the pool with 🤔. She's playful, bouncy, likes small dogs, and has been here for three months! She so badly wants to spend this summer enjoying her new home, rather than being stuck here at the shelter. She's going to make someone the perfect dog!

Ethal may be an older dog at 8 years old, but she does have some tricks to show off! This smart girl knows how to sit, lay down, and spin. She will let you know when she needs to go outside, and she loves to sit in your lap!

Update on Freedom. He has gained a total of 12 pounds since arriving at the shelter. He's now 40 pounds. He pretty much rules the roost, helps himself to the new toys that get donated because he wants first pick.

What it’s like trying to get one good picture of Maggie the puppy.🤦‍♀️ FYI-the hair is not from her! We took in afew dogs today and some are longer haired and shedding.

One of our great volunteers spent some time with Checkers, our longest resident here at the shelter. Look how smart he is! Checkers is a 2 year old medium mixed breed.

Little Willis only weighs 7 and a half pounds. He is so sad and lonely at the shelter and really wants to go home.❤️

Ryley is a new arrival. He is a three year old border collie that loves to play with toys! He knows sit and walks well on a leash. This guy would be a cool sport dog prospect since he’s so toy driven or would love to chase balls in the backyard. Come meet him!🐾❤️🐾❤️

Bentlee, is so proud of his toy. He walks around showing everyone. Someone come adopt this sweet boy! He's house trained, love children and dogs smaller than he is, rides excellent in the car, walks well on the leash and his adoption fee has been paid for.

Well he sure has calmed down and is doing much better. He even passed the grumpy poodle test!

We just have to keep showing off Aspen! She's the sweetest dog, has gotten along with every dog we've put her in with, knows how to sit, and loves kids! She's 9 years old and has been in and out of our shelter most of her life, unfortunately. We love her so much!

We are in need of your help!!!❤️🐾 The shelter is is need of fabuloso cleaner, laundry detergent so we can wash our blankets & towels and large dog pedigree dry dog food!
