Yay for Shadow, a Burk dog!

Today we said goodbye to Shadow. Shadow has found a new home with Mom. Mom is happy to have a walking buddy again. She is off to a quiet country life, will always have humans at home to keep her company and mom is excited to do some fun training with Shadow.

Bingo was unwanted here in Texas but he really hit the jackpot in upstate New York! He even has a park named for him. Those of you who donate to help us save dogs like Bingo make these happy endings happen!

💔🐾 WHY IS PEPPERONI STILL HERE? 🐾💔

In April, a litter of tiny puppies was dumped outside a church. One by one… they all got adopted. All but one. Pepperoni.

Day after day, he waits in his kennel, watching families walk past. He wags his tail. He offers his sweet eyes. He hopes this time someone will notice him. But when the kennel doors close at night… he’s still here. Alone.

Pepperoni is not broken. He is not “less than.” He is a good, gentle, loving boy who only wants what every shelter dog dreams of — a home, a family, someone to love him forever. 💙

We don’t understand why he’s been overlooked. He’s everything you could want in a companion. But what we do know is this: Pepperoni’s story shouldn’t end behind shelter walls.

Change doesn’t happen by wishing for it. Change happens when someone steps up. 🫶 Please — let Pepperoni be YOUR change. Let him finally go home before Clear the Shelters ends.

I’ll be honest with you… there are tears falling as this is written. Because it breaks our hearts to see such a wonderful boy waiting, when all he needs is a chance. Please don’t let him keep waiting.
