This is what daily socialization looks like....
It's beyond just handling and caring for them. Socialization is beyond exposing to a vast amount of dogs. Socialization has everything with how they respond in environments where stressors are present. It's about early neurological stimulation and early scent introductory. It's about having a safe environment with micro-stressors creating a strong and resilient puppy. It's about teaching them the world is safe and to trust their handler. This doesn't happen overnight, it starts from birth.
This is what every night looks like around here. I am tired, my hair is crazy, I have a little dewormer on my jacket, and I'm still doing puppy self care. The puppies spent all day learning. They got to explore new textiles, scents, and environments. Starting from 3 days old, they are handled and desentized. They learn that our touch is trusting and in their best interest. At 6 weeks old, they sit still while I clip their nails. This puppy has grown up on my criciulum, one that teaches them that their person is trusting, playful, and has their best interest. They are used to their care and hygiene regime. All my puppies bites can be checked, nails can be clipped, ears can be posted, bathed with minimum fuss. This behavior is fostered from birth to minimize the stress on the puppy and owner. I am here to foster a healthy relationship between dogs and owners. I am here to set the foundation for that relationship. It's our responsibility as breeders to set up puppies up for success.
