💜 Olivia 💜 Olivia is a special girl. She is the first dog that I ever felt like I REALLY made a difference in their life. She is one of the reasons that I love my career so much. Short story: Olivia came to me after another groomer was persistent that she needed to be heavily sedated for her grooming because it is difficult to groom her face. I remember the day she came in to see me. She could barely hold her head up. She seemed so sad, and barely acted like a dog. At pick up, I asked her momma more about her story and I requested that we take away the medication and see how she does for her grooming. This way I can better assess what her triggers are and figure out her likes and dislikes. At her next appointment, she was definitely a wiggle wart. She had the best personality and while yes, she was challenging for her head and face, I could tell she just needed someone to work at her speed. After working with her for about a year or so, I remember taking my little girl to the vet, and while sitting in the waiting room, Olivia and her mom came out from their exam room and I couldn't help but loudly and excitedly say "LIVIE!!!" Olivia immediately perked up and came running over to me. Her mom was shocked and overcome with happiness. As Olivia greeted me with wiggles and kisses, my heart was so warm and I knew then, that I was in the right career path. I knew that I made a difference in this pups grooming experience and life. Olivia improved so much over the years and while her time with me is limited as she is an elderly lady. I will never forget you Olivia. 💜 I learned a lot from you sweet girl. I am so lucky that I got the chance to work with you for so many years.
