🐱💔 Name a Feral Cat After Your Ex This Valentine’s Day! 💔🐱
Got an ex you’d rather forget? Why not turn that heartbreak into something pawsitive? For just a $20 donation, we’ll name a feral cat after your ex, neuter them, and post their picture on Valentine’s Day—because nothing says "moving on" like helping community cats get the care they need. Donate by February 9th to guarantee seeing your ex’s name given to a freshly neutered cat! Simply message us their FIRST name only after making your donation. Donations made after February 9th are more than welcome, but not guaranteed to be posted.
Your donation will support our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts, providing spay/neuter services and vaccinations for feral cats in our community. So whether your ex was a ghoster, a gaslighter, or just plain grumpy, let’s put their name to good use!

🐾 Donate now & drop that name! 🐾

Help us fix more than just broken hearts this Valentine’s Day! 💕🐾

We had something wonderful happen last Tuesday. One of our board members was trying to catch a couple of cats just to make sure they’re fixed. This grey tabby was caught, but not one of the cats she was wanting to get. We scanned the cat and found a pet key microchip. Pet key sends the owner a text. Tabby’s name is PJ and PJ has been missing for 3 years!!! PJ was lost from the Benjamin Hills area and made it across 21st. Whoever was taking care of PJ did an above average job, PJ is what we call a chonk!! The owner and her kids were so excited, she picked up PJ the following morning and said her two college girls were coming home the next day just to see PJ.

🐾 Cat Lovers Needed! 🐾
Do you have a soft spot for furry friends? 🐱 Friends of Felines KS is seeking volunteers to help care for cats in need!
Here’s how you can lend a paw:
🍴 Feeding: Help ensure our cats get the nutrition they need.
🧹 Cleaning: Keep our facility safe and comfortable for our feline friends.

Your support helps us provide a clean, safe environment for community cats to recover from their spay or neuter before being released, giving them the best chance at a brighter future. No experience? No problem—we’ll show you everything you need to know! As you gain experience with us, you may learn how to help caregivers with drop-off and pick-up, assist during TNR clinics, or even help caregivers with trapping.

There's still time to give on this Giving Tuesday!! The more we can help caregivers, the more we can help community cats..... Help us reach our goal of $12,000 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛❤️

This Giving Tuesday, Friends of Felines KS would appreciate your support to offset the cost of TNR for our lower income caregivers who cannot afford the full cost of TNR, and in doing so, we will make a tremendous difference in the lives of our community cats.

For many low-income caregivers, especially those with more than a couple of cats, the cost of spaying and neutering is a significant barrier to TNR. Unfortunately, when TNR is not feasible, what we see time and again is an explosion of cats and kittens in a population that is fed but not fixed. By making TNR affordable to those on fixed incomes and at the lower end of the poverty scale, we can ensure that more cats are spayed and neutered in the areas where it is needed most.

Friends of Felines KS would like to raise $12,000 to help those caregivers who qualify spay or neuter their cats for $25 per cat instead of our full charge of $70.

Donate to Friends of Felines KS this Giving Tuesday. Together, we can prevent the growth of colonies and improve the health of cats, while supporting the people who care for them.

FUME - Fund for Unexpected Medical Expenses

As you probably know, while trapping for TNR we occasionally come across cats who require special care. Whether it is a wound requiring antibiotics for several days, a broken limb requiring surgery to repair, a tail amputation or an eye injury requiring enucleation, these special cases cost additional money that we do not have. Obviously, in some cases humane euthanasia is preferable to treatment that may cause more trauma to an already suffering cat. In preparation for the future, we are starting a Fund for these cats. The Fund will be applied to those unexpected medical expenses we encounter while doing TNR. If you would like to help provide special care to these cats, please visit our webpage: fofks.org to donate and specify FUME (Fund for Unexpected Medical Expenses). Thank you!

In the coming weeks, we will introduce (and in some cases reintroduce) you to some of the cats who have already been helped, many with donations from you.
