Meet Darryl Furrban ❤️ This sweet boy can be shy with new people, but with a little patience he warms up into a social and playful pup! Darryl is a little under 2 years old and is fully grown at 61 lbs. He is housetrained and already knows “sit”, “stay” and “come”! 🧠 Darryl also lived previously with another large dog whom he loved playing with. Darryl LOVES other dogs! 📚 READ TO ROVER 🐾 Swing by KHS on Saturday, February 8th from 10-11:30 AM! We will be doing 30-minute read times at 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00 AM (limit 1 session per child) ❤️ This program is designed to improve children's reading and communication skills for Grades 1st - 5th. Reading to a dog is typically less stressful for the child and a whole lot more fun! We're excited to partner with Love On A Leash, who will be providing certified therapy dogs for this paw-some service! You can register online 📖

Roxie is ready to rock and roll! 🤘 This pretty lady is about 5 years old and is fully grown at 98 lbs. She was surrendered to KHS after her owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and they hope Roxie will quickly find a loving forever home 🥺 Roxie is a friendly and social girl who has done great around kids! She has also done well with small dogs, walks well on a loose leash, and is house-trained. Roxie is super smart and already knows “sit”, “down”, “shake”, “stay”, “come”, “heel”, and “fetch”! 🧠 Her favorite things are going on walks or just cuddling up on the couch with her loved ones ❤️ Interested in this gentle giant? You have a SECOND CHANCE at Robin! ❤ This sweet girl was found in our back parking lot back in mid-December, where we believe she was dumped. At first, she wouldn’t come close to us and we were unable to get her inside. Then the next morning, our Intake Supervisor Jeremy was finally able to get her on a leash. Robin rode back to KHS sitting in his baby car seat! ☺️ After her stray hold with our neighbors at the Wichita Animal Shelter, she went to foster care with one of our Intake Team Leads, Sydney. In foster, we learned Robin loves playing with other dogs and chewing on toys! 🐾

Robin is an active girl who always has energy for playtime. She is friendly and affectionate, she considers herself a lapdog! Robin is also housetrained and knows both "sit" and "come" 🧠 She can sometimes be too smart for her own good, we've learned that she can (and will) open pull-down-style door k***s. Robin also has a tendency to dart out the door if it is open 🚪 She is about 2 years old and is fully grown at 46 lbs.
