📚 READ TO ROVER NEXT WEEK🐾 Swing by KHS on Saturday, November 9th from 10-11:30 AM! We will be doing 30-minute read times at 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00 AM (limit 1 session per child) ❤️ This program is designed to improve children's reading and communication skills for Grades 1st - 5th. Reading to a dog is typically less stressful for the child and a whole lot more fun! We're excited to partner with Love On A Leash, who will be providing certified therapy dogs for this paw-some service! You can register online! We will also be doing walk-in reads 📖

We again wanted to thank everyone who braved the rainy weather and came out to the Linwood Recreation Center to get their pets microchipped and vaccinated ❤️ People were waiting as early as 5 AM! KHS has always been an extension of our incredible community and we’re always happy to help out our local pets 🐾 A reminder that our neighbors at Wichita Animal Services microchip owned animals for only $15! KHS also sells ID tags for $5!

INTRODUCING SOME VERY PRECIOUS PUPS who are feeling a bit under the weather 🤧 Our foster-to-adopt program is designed especially for dogs with CIRDC, a doggy cold which causes sneezing and coughing. Like a human cold, CIRDC is a mild illness with symptoms that usually only last 2-4 weeks ⌛ To help these cuties find their homes faster, their adoption fees have been replaced by a smaller foster deposit of $25-$50✨ Foster-to-adopt is different from traditional fostering because you adopt the dog after a brief foster term!

💉 FREE MICROCHIP & VACCINE CLINIC 🏥 Bring your cats and dogs to the Linwood Recreation Center TOMORROW (Saturday, November 2nd) starting at 10 AM to receive their DHPP (distemper parvo vaccine) for dogs, Bordetella vaccine for dogs, FVRCP vaccine (panleukopenia & more vaccine) for cats, rabies shots for both cats and dogs, and microchips. Kittens will need to be at least 6 weeks old, and puppies at least 2 months old. It will be a walk-up clinic, so no registration will be needed.

The clinic will be limited to the first 200 animals and will be first-come, first-serve. We strongly recommend getting there early, as supplies will be limited. All dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must be in a carrier. Please have 1 handler per pet.

We want to thank Cox for sponsoring the clinic, Petco Love for providing the vaccines, WSU Tech for helping administer the vaccines and microchips, and the City of Wichita- Government for donating the space! We're so excited and grateful for this day!
