We are still currently having phone and computer system issues. We do have one phone line up and running somewhat, and computers intermittently working. Our text line is working for basic requests like medication refills or questions.

Our phonelines are down and aren't forwarding calls to our afterhours phone. If you have any emergencies please take your pets to the nearest urgent care or emergency clinic. Information can be found on our website under the emergencies tab. Thank you for your patience and understanding, we hope to get things up and running before our week starts tomorrow.

Currently out computer system is down as well but we hope to have those fully functional by tomorrow as well.

Good morning Wickenburg and surrounding areas!

Just a reminder we are CLOSED on Saturdays for the summer, and will return to our normal business hours this fall. If you have an emergency please take your pet to the nearest emergency clinic or urgent care. You can find locations on our website.

Also a heads up for any scheduled appointments from now until the end of May, the construction on the US 60 on the west side of town have made it into town and there will be lane restrictions. Please allow yourself ample time when you are coming in for your appointment, as there are delays.

As our busy season comes to a close and our clinic is left with just a singe doctor, we will be transitioning to our summer hours. Starting in May, our hours will remain the same Monday to Friday, but we will be closed Saturdays and Sundays until November. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period.

In human medicine there are nurses, anesthesiologists, radiation techs, lab techs, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists and more. In veterinary medicine, all of these are one person, they are called Veterinary Technicians.

Microchips reunite pets with families. Check the registration information for your pet's microchip once a year on Check the Chip Day.

If your pet isn’t already microchipped, make an appointment with your veterinarian now for microchipping. Register your pets chip immediately with the manufacturer, making sure all of your contact information is included.
Ask your veterinarian to scan the microchip during your pet's annual wellness exam every year.
Each year on Check the Chip Day, check your pet's microchip registration information and update it if it's incomplete or no longer correct.

Starting May 1st, 2023 we will be changing our summer hours. Monday through Friday will remain the same, but we will be closing on Saturdays. We will offer one Saturday a month with tech appointments for vaccines. Those Saturdays will be announced once they are opened. Thank you all for your understanding.

With this new app we can send out appointment reminders, existing clients can request appointments, and medication refills and even boarding reservations! Here at Bar S we care about your pets, and to better assist in caring for your furry family members we will be updating our Patient portal system from VetScene to PetDesk. We look forward to this upgrade and hope all of you enjoy it as well. Hey everyone, we have a German Shepherd (Previously Posted). He had a dislocated hip that was put back into place, but he needs to be on bed rest and some assistance to get up.
