Purple Sage Equine

Purple Sage Equine is your Northern Nevada source for training, lessons and clinics using teachings learned from Buck Brannaman, Doug Williamson and a few other world class horseman to produce a horse that is relaxed, responsive and respectful. Melding the thought process of kind fairness with the performance "sting" and correct body building of classical riding to produce the ultimate performance horse.

Trainer/Instructor Karyn Shirley is a 20+ year student of Buck Brannaman and was apprenticed to an NRCHA Hall of Fame Inductee. She was actively involved on the Paint horse national circuit in both english and western events. She offers private and semi-private riding lessons in the Reno/Fallon/Carson City area. She also offers full-length and mini-clinics locally, nationally and internationally. Custom clinics available in nearly all phases of horsemanship, horse showing and groundwork available.

PSE will be hosting several clinics and shows including Buck Brannaman in May, Cliff Schadt Jr. in April with others as scheduling permits. We will also be hosting clinics from classical horsemanship instructors and will be introducing a new type of horsemanship seminar that addresses the whole rider/horse combo, quite literally from head to hoof and nose to tail.
