Well, that’s gonna wrap it up for this year’s guide season. It’s been an up-and-down type of year with several big cats being put in the boat, but with lower than normal total numbers of fish. Hoping next year will be a little more consistent on numbers and big fish both. Here are just a few pics of many from this year‘s adventures. Thanks to all who came out to fish with us! Day two consisted of bumping the Mississippi after catching a few mooneye to have for fresh bait. We put some nice cats in the boat today with the biggest being 35lbs, but no big boys showed up. Still a great day out on the water!

Our Story

My passion for catfishing all started about 45 years ago. Almost every Sunday after church and lunch at my grandparents house, the whole family would load up and head out and fish for cats along the banks of the Mississippi River for a few hours. My grandpa taught me a whole lot about catfishing and jumpstarted my love and passion for chasing those big blues. Over the past 45 years that passion has grown steadily year after year and has developed into a love of teaching and showing others how to enjoy the sport of catfishing as much as I do. Honestly, I get just as much or even more enjoyment out of seeing someone landing a big cat that I put them on versus landing one myself. Hooked On Cats Guide Service was born out of that love and passion. We love catfishing and all it encompasses. We live for this....and would love to share our passion for catfishing with others in a fun, safe, family friendly environment. We offer guided catfishing trips on the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers.
