Made a bait run for skipjack and mooneye this afternoon. On the way back, I decided to stop and bump through a certain area of the Mississippi that I like and BAM!…….a 56LB blue cat slammed a skipjack head! You just can’t beat bumping the Mississippi for these big blues! 🎣

Our Story

My passion for catfishing all started about 45 years ago. Almost every Sunday after church and lunch at my grandparents house, the whole family would load up and head out and fish for cats along the banks of the Mississippi River for a few hours. My grandpa taught me a whole lot about catfishing and jumpstarted my love and passion for chasing those big blues. Over the past 45 years that passion has grown steadily year after year and has developed into a love of teaching and showing others how to enjoy the sport of catfishing as much as I do. Honestly, I get just as much or even more enjoyment out of seeing someone landing a big cat that I put them on versus landing one myself. Hooked On Cats Guide Service was born out of that love and passion. We love catfishing and all it encompasses. We live for this....and would love to share our passion for catfishing with others in a fun, safe, family friendly environment. We offer guided catfishing trips on the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers.
