Have you ever wanted to learn how to “bump” for catfish? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to “bump” for big cats on the mighty Mississippi River? Hooked On Cats offers 6 hour BUMPING ONLY instructional trips for anyone who might be interested in learning this very effective technique for catching big cats……and where better to learn this technique than on the mighty Mississippi! We’ll spend the day discussing what to look for when searching for an area to bump, reading the river, river currents, how to rig for bumping, proper weight selection, proper rod selection, determining speed of bait presentation, and proper technique for working the rod. All of this will be applied and put into practice while fishing in an on the water instructional environment. 2024 was a great year! Sooooo many personal best cats hit the deck this year for so many of our customers! Here are just a few pics of many. I truly do get more enjoyment out of putting people on big cats versus catching them myself. There’s just something about seeing that huge smile on a customer’s face when they’re holding up a personal best cat! I love doing what I do and am definitely looking forward to 2025! Bring it on!🎣
