As trainers we don’t just ride your horse, we care for them as if they were our own. We are here for the blacksmith, vet, chiropractor and more. We know everything about your horse good and bad, and that’s just the horse then we move to YOU the owner we are your support team, talking you off the ledge when you have a bad day, answering the phone calls to answer any questions (even the non horse related) because that’s what we do. Then we get to the horse show trying to keep you calm and focused long enough to get you through your class. Then calming you down after your class because FLUFFY didn’t listen to you. Then at the end of the day when it’s all over and we stand in the quiet barn listening to the horses eat in there stalls we realize why we do this.

And of course by this time we have some kind of alcohol 🥃 in our hands because this is how we get ready for tomorrow.

Last but certainly not least, we would like to congratulate our 2023 Youth 14-18 National Champion, Giovanna 'Jojo' Di Scala & Tinsel Lena!

Tell us a little bit about your partner:

Answer: I am the second owner of Tinsel Lena and will be his forever home! Tinsel was my first horse and has brought me from walk trot to where I am today. Tinsel is quirky and not easy, but I love him and all he has taught me.


Question: What was your favorite part about running for a National title?

Answer: All the traveling! The memories made on the road with my trainer and friends, and meeting new people at the different show locations and states!

Question: What is something new you learned this year?

Answer: I learned that its not all about winning but growing as a person, rider, and team.


Question: What was your favorite class?

Answer: Working Cow Horse!


Question: How does it feel to be the National High Point Champion?

Answer: Its been an amazing journey of ups and downs. Its a huge accomplishment that I have been working towards. Now for refocusing on 2024 goals!

Question: Any advice you could give your fellow competitors thinking about running for a National title?

Answer: Remember we all start somewhere! You will win some and you will lose some. At the end of the day never stop challenging yourself to be better, and look forward to the memories you will make along the way.

First ARHA show of 2023 is a wrap. Dixie National Color Bonanza was a great show again this year.

Fancy NU Whiz picked up 80 open points finishing her open ROM in Ranch Riding and Open Conformation, Melanie showed her in Amateur Conformation and showmanship picking up 16 amateur points.

JOJO DisCala and Tinsel Lena were High Point youth and picked up 76 points.

Great way to start the year!!!

Need to brag on this little 3 yr old mare Fancy NU Whiz, Melanie Holley purchased her in September of this year after lots of discussions on what direction she wanted to go in. Jazz never been shown or been on cattle. She only went to 4 shows.

Showtime Smarty
I decided the end of 2021 to bring him out of retirement to get his Open ROMs I had not shown him in the open very much so we had very little points starting off I only showed him through the 2022 ARHA world show in July (only 9 shows) to accomplish our goal and we did just that.
He received his ROM in

Open Performance Versatility Award
And his Championships.
Not bad for 19yrs old.
