Whenshe forst arrived to me, the handlers words were, "good luck"...but I don't need luck, I've got skills baby;)

Guys! We almost made the paper here in The Villages, Fl!

I was approached by Villagers for Veterans late last year to help assist them with training a handful of dogs. We pulled it off. AND the 2 that were mentioned IN THIS ARTICLE are the 2 that I trained before they went to their Veterans.

I was willing to help outside of my regular type of clientele of behavioral issues in the home and pet training. Over the last 25 years of training, I have helped thousands of pet owners conquer their communication skills with their dogs, service dog training is pretty entry level, but I was willing to help locally for the sake of the cause.

Not sure if this is something I want to continue pursuing, but I enjoyed being there for the veterans. It's meant to be a good cause for them.

Here I took Gabbi to TJ Maxx for some Christmas shopping. She definitely catches a lot of attention but good things she likes to keep an eye on her Handler.

I'm working with her to learn how to walk at the side and not pull when there's a cart in use. Also not to be intimidated by the things around her. So this outing was really good for building her confidence. She's already got her sit staying down stay down really well so she's doing a great job.

Here I'm teaching Gabbi to mind or print is so she learns her downstay. Need her to be able to stay down while I walk away. This is a great way for me to teach the dogs to stay when they're in my house.

These two crazy Rascals had a blast running through the woods even though we didn't get far because it was partially flooded. This is princess who is my dog the dark brown one and Blaze she is the doodle and she's also a service dog. I decided to give service dog training a chance and so far I've been doing a great job.

FEN goes for a shopping trip and to get some coffee. He just needed to get out and be more social while under control so I figured we go do some Christmas shopping and get him a pup cup afterwards.

I haven't trained to stay by my cart as I walk and not pull. He's also not allowed to approach others unless I allow him to which I don't because I'm a dog trainer LOL. I have more fun telling people no, don't touch my dog;)

Everyone out for Halloween!!

Please do not approach service dogs while in training or ever. It is extremely disruptful to the training and their practice which is to keep mindfulness of their handlers wellbeing. Here I am helping Gracie learn to sit and not get too excitable when others approach or walk by.
