Hi everyone- Dr. Resh here! I just wanted to say a big personal thank you to all of YOU, our wonderful clients. This past month and a half was busy with me as the solo doctor, and I know we had to slightly adjust the way we run things in order to best serve you and your fur babies. You have all shown such patience and grace, and so many made a point to check in and ask how we all were managing. Although a crazy time with many late days, I was reminded that we really do have the best clients imaginable! Dade County Animal Hospital would not be what it is without YOU. So thank you, thank you!

With that being said, Dr. Selzer has returned from South Africa and is back in the clinic. Yay! We are so excited for her to share some of her experiences with all of you, so stay tuned!

Important Announcement: New Saturday Hours! ⏰

To better serve our community, we have extended our Saturday hours to 9am - 2pm, and will only be open the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month.

We encourage you to plan Saturday visits in advance and please reach out to us for any questions or concerns.

Today is a sad day - It’s the last day that our dream team trio of doctors worked together 😢 Dr. Selzer is leaving for South Africa on Tuesday to work as a wildlife vet for two months. She’ll be back in August with lots of stories about her rhinos, but we’ll miss her while she’s gone! Dr. Singer will be leaving us at the end of June for an urgent care position in Chattanooga. We’re very excited for him but sad to see him go! We’ve loved having him at DCAH and are selfishly hoping we’ll convince him to visit us every now and then.

Dr. Resh will be holding down the fort for all of July and the first 1/2 of August. With that in mind, keep an eye out for updates as we may be adjusting our hours for the summer. And be nice to her - She’s sad about both of her work besties leaving her at once!

NATIONAL RESCUE DOG DAY is proudly observed annually on MAY 20 to bring awareness to the countless number of amazing dogs in shelters around the country who deserve a second chance at a forever home. We’ve been saving the world’s smallest cone of shame in case we needed it, and Dorito finally gave us the chance to use it today! He doesn’t think it’s nearly as cute as we do. His girl was very worried about him after he developed an abscess, but we’re hoping for an uneventful recovery! 🐹

Nico came to visit us today for his puppy vaccines, and he was sooo sweet and brave! Isn’t he just the cutest? 🥰 We’re all hoping for puppies in our Easter baskets! 🤞

Hey all! We wanted to let you know that Dr. Stewart has accepted a job closer to her family and will be leaving us next week 😢 We have loved having her as a part of our team and getting to watch her grow as a veterinarian! Her last day with us is next Thursday, February 8. If you want to swing by and wish her well on her next adventure, she’ll be at the clinic February 2-3 and February 5-8. We will miss her so much, and we know you and your furbabies will too!

WINTER WEATHER UPDATE:
We are keeping a close eye on the weather over the next few days as our area may be experiencing some snow/sleet. We ARE planning to remain open at this time, but a large portion of our staff live in higher elevations and may not be able to make it to the clinic safely in the event of severe weather.
