Dade County Animal Hospital Dade County Animal Hospital is a clinic in Northwest Georgia that deals with small animals. We have been in business for 35 years.

DCAH has been an active practice since September 1, 1978. Dr. Robert McKaig, DVM, was the original owner and has now retired from the clinic. He sold the practice to Dr. Nick Weldon, DVM in September 2011. DCAH is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire staff is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from r

epeat customers and referrals. We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry. Small animal services are provided at our office. We are equipped to handle all your pet emergencies or yearly vaccinations and everything in between. It is our goal to provide you with a thorough visit with our staff. Your pet's health will always be of the utmost importance to us. Please feel free to call our office to set up an appointment. We no longer offer large animal services.

Update: To ensure employee safety, Dade County Animal Hospital will be closed on Friday, 1/10, and Saturday, 1/11. If Saturday's road conditions permit, we will post a notification here if we plan to open.

We will be closing at noon tomorrow, December 31st, for our annual end-of-year inventory. We will resume normal business hours on Thursday, January 2nd. Please plan accordingly for any prescriptions your pet may need.

As Practice Manager Recognition Week comes to a close, we would be remiss if we did not recognize our wonderful manager, Amber! Many of you recognize her as she has been with the practice for over 10 years, working first as a technician, filling in as receptionist when needed, and now has served as our practice manager for the past 3 years. She works hard daily to advocate for us but also for you! She never receives enough credit, yet never complains. This place really would not run without her! Let’s show Amber some love and some thanks!
