🐷💔 Meet Rupert — A Tiny Fighter With a Big Heart 💔🐷

This is Rupert, a 6-pound piglet who was found clinging to life in a sweltering 95-degree parking lot at an Indiana truck stop. His little body was covered in wounds, dehydrated, and barely able to stand — the marks of a story he couldn’t tell.

But fate had other plans. A compassionate passerby spotted Rupert in his desperate state, gave him water, began bottle-feeding him, and made the long journey back home to Michigan — all to give this little fighter a second chance at life. 💕

That’s when Rupert arrived at WAH. Under the expert care of Dr. Selina, Rupert was treated for a respiratory infection and parasites. This brave piglet is on the road to recovery — physically and emotionally.

Rupert still has a long road ahead, but thanks to kindness, compassion, and good veterinary care, he’s finally safe, loved, and on the mend. 🐽💕

🐾 We’re Stepping Up for Our Community — Will You Join Us? 🐾

Our community is facing a growing challenge: more and more unwanted and abandoned puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats are showing up in shelters, on streets, and even at our hospital doors. These animals are often scared, vulnerable, and in need of urgent care—and it's a heartbreaking reality we can't ignore.

As a family owned and operated hospital, we’re committed to being part of the solution. That’s why, from now until September 1st, we’re offering 🐾 10% off 🐾 all spay and neuter surgeries for Canines and Felines.

This is our way of supporting our neighbors, pet owners, and animal lovers who want to do the right thing but may need a little help. Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to prevent unwanted litters and reduce the number of animals in need.

Last week, we upgraded our exam rooms — and if you guessed new chairs… you were spot on! 🪑 Jessie and Zazu were among the first to test them out, and we think it's safe to say they gave their paw of approval. 🐾

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We also remember the loyal canine and equine heroes who stood beside them — courageous, faithful, and never forgotten. 🐾🐎

Did you know that one simple blood test can screen your dog for four serious diseases?

Our 4Dx Test checks for:
✅ Heartworm Disease – spread by mosquitoes, this life-threatening condition affects the heart and lungs.
✅ Lyme Disease – transmitted by ticks, it can lead to joint pain, kidney issues, and other complications.
