WE ARE HIRING!!!!! If you or someone you know is a groomer that loved cats and dogs, with 1+ years of experience, please send them our way! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, be experienced in pet grooming, and possess excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall well-being of our furry friends, providing them with a clean, healthy, and happy environment. We pride ourselves in having an upbeat and easy-going workspace for our groomers and provide very flexible scheduling for our groomers as well.
Duties
- Provide a range of grooming services, including baths, nail trimming, and haircuts, as per the pet's needs and owner's requests.
- Use a variety of grooming tools and techniques to maintain the health and appearance of the pets in our care.
- Clean and maintain the kennel area, including the removal of waste and ensuring a clean and safe environment for the animals.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients, answering questions, and providing information on our services.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as vacuum cleaners, to maintain a clean environment for the animals.
- Perform tasks that involve heavy lifting and bending, as necessary.
- Be knowledgeable about common pet health issues and be able to identify potential problems.
- Develop and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure the safety and comfort of the animals.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest pet grooming techniques and best practices.
- Be patient with the animals in our care. Grooming can be scary for some pets, and we want them to be as comfortable as possible but keeping our groomers safety a priority also.
Requirements
- A strong background in pet grooming, preferably with experience in an equine setting.
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and experience handling animals of all sizes.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- The ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require heavy lifting and bending. We groom dogs that can be upwards to 100+ pounds but assistance for lifting will always be provided if needed.
- A passion for animal care and a commitment to providing exceptional care to our pets.
- Experience working in a kennel environment, with a focus on providing a clean and safe environment for animals.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to prioritize tasks to ensure the best possible care for our pets.
- Certification in pet grooming
-Will be starting off Part-time and eventually moving into Full-time as clientele builds
