Three Little Birds Farm Family farming Living closer to our food. We hope to share our bounty at the local farmer's market and through direct sales.

Our products grow as we do, and include blueberries, pastured pork, and sheep. Our name is inspired by our family anthem, Bob Marley's song, Three Little Birds:

Last puppy went to guard chickens in North Carolina yesterday. Loving all the updates from puppy parents. This was such a stellar litter! I can’t wait to have another once mom has a good long rest.

It’s a bittersweet weekend because these awesome dogs we’ve had the pleasure of getting to know are heading to their furrever homes. Hoss actually left Wednesday for his cross-country trek to Washington. Ylva is leaving today for Illinois. Monday, Marge goes to Virginia and Bart goes to Indiana. Next week, Lisa goes to North Carolina.

Every year a little bigger and a little angrier. (They could hurt the dogs or the kids if we left them be and we aren’t turtle soup people).

It’s peak shedding season as you can see all around Atlas standing with Chelsea. For feeding the dogs each have a bowl and a chain. They come and present to be chained and are released when everyone is finished. This cuts out resource guarding.

Puppies are getting so big! Today they “helped” the girls with yard work and “guarded” our baby chicks and hen.

It started with “mom, there’s baby chicks in the dog kennel.” Puppies had been out playing all day and it was time to put them away and feed all the animals. What should have been a 30 minute feeding turned into a long adventure of “where did they come from?”, “What should we do with them?” Turns out a hen had a secret clutch above the dog stall. When they hatched, they fell through the chicken wire into the dog stall. Lucky timing that the pups weren’t in there. All are now safely resettled. As Farmer Mark said, “well, it IS spring.”

Today was weigh and worm day for 🐶. The girls are all 21 or 22 pounds and the boys are both 25 pounds!
