Outrageous! Spay and neuter your animals!

181 animals have walked through our doors in the last 48 hours.🚨Yes, you read that right. We took in 109 animals yesterday and 72 animals so far today. 💔With this influx, we are stretched thin and need your help more than ever. We have cats in cages in the lobby and staff holding dogs as we try to figure out spacing. 😭

The best way to help right now is to visit us and adopt between 10am-6pm. Additionally, please spread the word in your community: if someone is missing their pet, they need to come visit us immediately.

The cross cutters game will be rescheduled for August 9th! Game starts at 630pm!

On August 16th we will be manning a dunk tank at the brickyard to raise money for our cause! Look for us there!

Don’t forget we are having our rescue yard sale August 17th and 18th! If you’re willing to lend us any tables please put your names on the bottom of them!

Yard sale will be 8-3 and we will have new stuff both days!!!

The yard sale will be at 1350 warren avenue. All proceeds go directly to our animal rescue fund! Some things are priced but many are not. Some of it is collectibles or antiques so if it’s priced, that’s what the price is.

We will be accepting donations for basket raffles or items to raffle off also. Please don’t leave anything at the door at that address! We don’t live there but that’s where we will be having the sale!!!

Don’t leave traps unattended for long periods of time!

This mama opossum was caught in a Have-A-Heart trap for a long time during a very hot day. She was very dehydrated when she was brought here. We treated her for dehydration and made sure all the babies were fine. She stayed at the rescue for the remainder of the day to rest, drink and eat. She was released last night.

Just because it’s a humane trap doesn’t always mean that what someone does with it is humane. Wild animals become very stressed in these traps and, if left for long periods of time, can experience a plethora of medical issues.

Lucky for this mama opossum, someone walking by saw what was going on and was able to help her. ❤️🙏❤️

So we still plan to trap at the old man’s house. We have just been insanely busy and been having someone keep an eye on them until we could. How many people or rescues can take a few so I know how many I can trap that will have somewhere to go? They will need vetted and flea treated for sure

We will always be taking donations of cat nip toys and animal bandanas, shirts, bumper stickers, Bracelets, home made jewelry and etc for us to sell as fundraisers. If you sew or are crafty and can help us with these things for our events we would be so grateful.

Remember, we are always accepting pet donations for a community drive also!

Tomorrow we will be at the cross cutters event starting at about 5!! We will be giving an interview and have a table set up with brochures and pamphlets . We cannot accept donations on site and cannot sell any merchandise. We will have our mascot cat Tuna on site that you can get photos with! You must purchase a ticket to get in! No outside food or drinks are allowed at the park and clear bags only! We will be there for the beginning of the game but won’t be staying the whole time!

Anyone interested in an aussie doodle? He’s a year old and am told he’s good with other animals . She paid a lot for him and she brought him here from Florida but her new landlord won’t allow her to have him. So he stays outside 24/7 or in the car in all types of weather. No rehoming fee she said, but must be screened by me. She’s sad to have to give him up . If interested please pm me and I’ll get you in contact with her

Must understand doodles. High energy and need a lot of grooming.

Does everyone remember sweet baby chicken wing with the severely deformed legs? Today he lost his battle . I’m so thank full me & tea were able to love him and show him the love he deserves in his last 2 years of life. Thank you Tea Sciandra for everything!

Some People think that when someone else donates what they consider a large amount of money, it will last a long time. What they don’t understand is that when we have emergencies, that’s gone in an instant. We appreciate it so very much, but it doesn’t last as long as people might think. People ask why we constantly fundraise. That is why. In the event our fund gets wiped out, what do we do? What does any rescue do? It’s hard to get by. Especially when we are trying to help others who fall on hard times too. Please, understand that we are outdone fubdraise if we didn’t have to. It’s literally what keeps us afloat. I hate to have to ask for help to keep going but we run on donations. Some people say why is she begging for money. It’s not for me, it’s for the animals who find themselves in unfortunate situations. They aren’t my animals. They are rescues and fosters. They need our help. Without our help, we couldn’t do this anymore.

The SPCA get grants and regular donators and a lot more fosters: they have a building where we do this out of our homes. When you make a donation, please don’t forget us small rescues just trying to get by! We are just surviving like everyone else, trying to take on the world! No dollar is ever wasted!!

My sniffles , a rescue from the villa colony, just cost me $700. He had massive swelling in his front leg and they couldn’t understand where it was coming from. He’s finally doing better.

I never adopted him out due to all of his health issues: he’s been a permanent resident here at Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue Inc.

But I do owe 1400 something on our rescue account there . If you would like to donate to help us with our veterinary costs, we would be forever grateful!

How could anyone throw him from a vehicle and leave him behind? Sylvan wants nothing but LOVE! He gets neutered and rabies vaxxed tomorrow then will be available for adoption!

On my way to pick up a cat that was suspected of being shot. I was contacted two days ago about this cat but didn’t post in case we couldn’t get him. Praying hard for her

As 2022 comes to a close, Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue has successfully took in and adopted out over 200 cats, did about 120 TNRs, and helped about 35-40 pet owners with their vet bills whom were struggling. We were also involved in several other animal rescues of other species whether it be wildlife transport, rabbits, dogs, lizards, etc. At the start of 2023, we will start keeping an exact count . (I don’t feel like counting every single folder lol) We have spent so so so so very much in veterinary bills, supplies, and food and litter. We have made countless calls to place cats and other animals into homes, rescues or shelters if we could not take them. We have done several transports, and our wonderful foster Giving for Getty Marie Haas has transported many animals for other rescues, to their forever homes or to another rescue that had more room. We have had over 40 extensive surgeries done, and over 30 critical cases come through our doors. We have saved many many many lives. Out of over 200, we have lost no more than 15-20, and they were ones that came severely injured, or calls we’ve gotten in the middle of the night, that were too bad off to save 😔 We have had an extremely succesful year, a year that didn’t slow down for a single minute. And we owe it all to our supporters. Thank you, thank you all, from the bottoms of our hearts , here at Heidi’s Furry Friend Rescue. You all truly make a difference. This young black cat jumped right in Ashleigh Brzenchek car when she was on her way to me to pick up kitty kittys special urinary food . She’s got a break in her tail and possibly pregnant. When they went to feed her, look how she acted. YOUR CATS ARE NOT THRIVING OUTSIDE! THEY ARE FREEZING AND STARVING! DONT GET THEM IF YOU CANT FIX THEM AND KEEP THEM FOR LIFE!

One of the hairiest little Wolverine babies I ever had. So much fur. Many burs in her food. Stinky, eyes gunky, wheezing, sneezing, etc. we got her bathed and cleaned up, blow dried, and started on eye ointments and meds. We are naming her Ethel, from the Ice Age Movie Character theme that we already have going on! We estimate 10-12 weeks!

Little Zazu went back to his owner and is starting to feel better and is doing well. Sorry for crappy footage!

Thomas is officially ready for his forever home!!! His eyes still get like this brownish crust in them occasionally but there is no specific answer of why this happens. He is neutered and fully vaxxed and waiting to be loved by someone!!!! Lil Debbie is still miraculously alive and thriving! Other then some mild diarrhea and a sore butt from the diarrhea, and a mild eye infection, all of which she is being treated for, she’s doing amazing! Eating, drinking and playing!! I still can’t believe it!!! I hope who ever adopts her names her Maytag!
