I had water in the basement. But I'm not complaining. Sending prayers out to those effected in the flash flooding.

Come on out to the festival....
Orviston Celebration 2024

On Saturday July 13th
there will be breakfast available for those who wish to grab something early, it will be provided by Tom Evers and his crew this year, they should be ready by 7:00 or 7:30 on Saturday morning.

We will hold the Opening Ceremonies on the stage at 10:30 AM to officially open the day for all the fun and entertainment.

The Annual Horseshoe Tournament will begin at 11:00 AM with sign up and warm up’s starting at 9:30 AM, for questions call Brad Mackey at: 1-570-367-9397

The Entertainment will kick off at 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM with “Kidz @ Heart”

At 2:00 PM the Annual Parade will take place and you don’t want to miss that; it has become a Crowd Favorite of everyone!

From 2:30 until 4:00 PM we welcome: Blue Grass Express with Steve and Chanse Davy!

At 4:30 until 6:00 PM we welcome back “Dan & Galla” they are always a crowd favorite.

The Famous Brick Float will happen at 6:15 PM, only in Orviston can we float a brick, and you could win some cash!!

We will draw the winners of the Basket Raffle Items at 6:30 PM and remember they must be claimed by 9:00 PM or another name will be drawn until the prize is claimed.

From 7:00 until 8:45 or so the Lomison’s and Friends will perform and look forward to the crowd singing along with many of their traditional tunes, as it is said, the Tradition Continues.

At 9:00 PM we will draw the Summer Raffle Prizes, the Final 50/50 and re-draw any of the unclaimed Basket Raffle prizes.

Finally, at 9:30 PM sit back and enjoy our Fantastic Fireworks Display to cap a great day of family fun and entertainment.

Happy Friday! Keep your fingers crossed we don't see this tomorrow at the PA lavender festival. At least Sunday looks like a decent day 🙂. Still making yummy treats. I have chicken strips, chicken bites, sweet potatoes, liver strips and liver bites ready to go. Today's agenda making 2 different kinds of soft biscuits. Peanut butter pumpkin and blueberry. Hoping to get more snuffle mat's ready as well. Take care see you soon!

How's everyone adjusting to the change of great weather today? Would be a nice night to mow grass, or work outside. But I'll be making some yummy treats and working on some snuffle mat's instead. Need something purple/lavender for the festival. Take care!

Stopping in to say HELLO! A thunderstorm just passed through. Was trying to mow the grass before the tractor just stopped ✋️. Its a brand new tractor, can't be to many reasons why it just upped and stopped? So it's been that kind of a day. Here's to a better tomorrow. And your day is going awesome as well.

Good morning! How did you survive the solar eclipse :) I was bummed with the clouds.
Just an update: I will be at the following locations:
Saturday April 27 - Touch a Truck in Hughesville
Saturday/ Sunday May 4-5th. Waterville Sawdust Festival.
Montgomery/Elimsport area on May 5th. The Oak Grove Community Center is holding a fundraiser for my cousins. I will be donating a few baskets for the cause.
Saturday May 11 - 4 Paws Dog in Milton

Thank you for those, that gave feedback for the cat treats! Looks like it's a 50/50. Those cats can sure be picky :) I know mine is. I'll keep working on a recipe. I'm sure there's something out there? Til then...Keep on smiling :)

Beef liver bites. Turned out soft and chewy. Of course my cat isn't into liver. 🙃. Taking them over to my mom's to see how her cat likes them. Since she got into a bag of liver bites for the dogs lol. I'm sure she will be devouring them.

After relooking at my recipes, I've decided to stick with this one and change up the meat flavors.
5 oz meat (Tuna, Salmon, chicken, and Beef liver)
1 cup oat flour
1 large egg
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 heaping tablespoon dried catnip. (Which I grow myself)

These will be cooked in an oven. I will be making some later today. Will post the final product. I will also be checking the tenderness. Let me know if your looking for a more tender or crunchy treat. I'm looking to catering all ages. From kitten to older cat. Again thank you for your input and thoughts.

Still getting use to seeing this in our back yard. They tapered off with the apples being gone. But come next year the dog will be barking constantly ugh. 🙃

Change of location for next Friday. See you there!

Slight change for this months Fourth Friday. We had a tree fall down and damage the pavilion and take out power so for liability reasons till it gets cleaned up we are moving the location of the Fourth Friday Event for July! We are happy to say that we are collaborating with Josh and his staff at Today Farm (former Tom Styer Farm behind UPMC in Muncy) We are working on notifying all our vendors of this change. We will be offering some cool new features to the event as well. You won’t want to miss this event. More information to follow:
