Things have been so busy the last week I havent properly introduced myself! My name is Tia and I am the new owner of Vanity Fur. Let me just start off by saying how incredibly honored I am to have been given the opportunity by Ali to not only continue to take care of all of you, but keep her dream running strong! I previously owned my own shop and unfortunately I had to step back 2 years ago. I have 4 amazing beautiful children that are my world! They are why I decided to take this leap again! The ones of you that I have already met have been more than welcoming and it means so much to me! I hope to continue to meet each and everyone of you and show your babies just as much love as they have always gotten when coming to Vanity Fur!!!

Ive shared this every time it comes across my feed!! Double coated dogs are built to last, no matter the weather. They shed what they dont need when its hot (turn their AC on if you will) and then grow back what the need in the colder months (built in heater) Unless they are extremely matted (BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH) lets keep that coat because it is SO important to their health!

This is a thermal image of a dog with a portion of its body shaved and the other portion not shaved. The non-shaved portion is at 24°C and the shaved portion at 30°C. The hair is present for several reasons, mainly for thermal regulation ☀🌡

Just wanted to say Hey to everyone! My name is Tia and I was once the owner of The Groom Room! Its been a blessing to be able to come in and help Ashleigh and Ali out the few days that I have! Grooming again and seeing your babies leave looking their very best really lets me know this is Truly where I belong! Cant wait to meet you guys and your sweet pups ❤️

PSA:: IT IS JUNE 30th. CALL TOMORROW to get your critters their anxiety meds! If you do not have your pet microchipped, make sure you have collars with their names and YOUR info on it. Add a name tag with the same info. If you are planning on going out, MAKE SURE THEY ARE SECURE! in the backyard is not secure! Fear causes fight or flight mode with animals and they will find a way out! Below are a few things you can do to help your pets on firework holidays…..

✅Stay home
✅Medicate pets
✅leave the tv or music on
✅high velocity fans work wonders
✅hire someone to stay with them if you go out
✅give them something to keep them busy like enrichment toys
✅secure them in a kennel with all of the above
✅tracking collar
✅ I also saw painter’s tape attached to collars with owners info on it for times like these. You can never be too prepared!

This time of year far too many pets end up missing and families are frantically searching for their beloved pet(s). It is 100% preventable! If you need help, DM me and I’ll do what I can to help you keep your pet safe.

As most of you know I (Ali) am having trouble with my shoulder and arm. Right now, I am out of work indefinitely. My girls, Ashleigh and Brianna are working in overdrive to try and service everyone and try to deliver what our clients are accustomed to. Please be patient with us as this is a major adjustment for us all. We appreciate all of our wonderful and and loyal clients! We look forward to working together through this difficult phase.
