Do not underestimate the breed. If you leave the door open something will happen. This is not a breed for just anyone. They're not going to get along with all other dogs and you shouldn't expect them to be anything other than the bully breed they are. Built for strength

This is so important to use cue words vs good boy or girl. So many times we tell our pets good .. just for being cute as well as when they do something that you're asking them to do. A simple word change can make a world of a difference. I've recommend this a few times and within a week they are letting me know how much it has made a huge difference.
I personally noticed it when I was working on the "down" command and I noticed it was also being said when we wanted them to get down off the furniture. Yeah I'd be confused too. Do you want me to lay down or get down SMH 😕🤔
I've since switched to German commands when I'm working with my dogs training. They are very good at distinguishing between time for work, play and down time now.

The way you correct can make a big difference. Your correction might be sending mixed signals. You'd be surprised how much people are actually encouraging the reactive behaviors just by their actions.

I have a big dog and I've seen people start pulling their dogs before their dogs have even noticed mine and bc of the handlers reaction the dog reacts. Not only is your action a signal but your body language is as well.

I'm going to start getting my hounds meats from a butcher. Finding all of these in a shopping visit is rare. I've been giving raw/home cooked meals for over a year now and the journey has been interesting. I've learned a lot with still tons more to learn but since I've introduced a proper nutrition I've seen nothing but positives. Winter is here and so far I haven't had any skin issues(common for AB's). No dry skin in sight! All healthy shiny coats.
