Knowing the basics of dog body language can help prevent a bite. Dogs send nonverbal messages which will offer clues of how they feel. For today's #dogbiteprevention tip, Alyssa talks about some of these signs.
Some other signs to watch for:
Ears flat against head
Lip-licking
Stiff body posture
A tightly closed mouth
Looking away

The dog is on the opposite side of a fence or gate
The dog is barking, growling, or appears aggressive
The dog appears fearful
The dog doesnโt seem interested in interacting with you
The dog is stray or has small puppies nearby
