Thank you to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital and Care Credit for supplying lunch today. This lunch was our reward for winning the Gingerbread House Competition they sponsored. It was such a treat! Thank you again!💞
Think Halloween is scary? Watch this video of a deer tick magnified under a microscope! Now that's scary! Deer ticks are still around even with this cooler weather. They can carry and transmit Lyme disease as well as a host of other pathogens.
Ear mites
Ever hear your veterinarian tell you they want to check your pet for ear mites? This is what they are looking for. Can you imagine how that feels? This was taken through the microscope by one of our technicians today while checking one of our patients.

SHE GOT A HOME!! Remember Cinnamon? She had been staying with a former employee for training while we were trying to find her a home. Well, she and her husband fell in love and decided to keep Cinnamon. We couldn't be happier for all of them!
Meet Bella. This cutie came to us in some discomfort this morning. Her mom told us that after throwing out a sewing needle with thread attached to it, Bella had gotten into the trash. After much searching she was still unable to find the needle that she knew was in there. We checked her closely and found the needle stuck in the bottom of her tongue. After some sedation we were able to remove the needle and thread without having to perform surgery. Bella is a lucky dog!
UPDATE: Remember Cinnamon? Cinnamon came to us with an eye injury and large wound on her lower back. After a few surgeries, clearing up a fungal infection and some training, she is now ready for a home!! She is a 4 year old spayed female and she is current on vaccinations and heartworm testing and preventative. We are currently accepting applications for her adoption. Single pet household preferred. Only serious inquiries please. Adoption fee, interview and home visit required. Feel free to email us at [email protected] or call our office at 609-871-1600 with questions or to receive an application.
