Sugar has always been a water dog. You couldnt keep her on a float. She still swims but now she prefers to float around for hours.

Meals are at 7:30am and pm. Thats also when she gets her insulin and cbd. 10 minutes after 7 this starts. First the stare then the barking and jumping. You wouldn't know shes 14 years old.

Sugar is back to herself this morning. Yesterday was rough for her but after she ate and got the correct dose of insulin she was better. This morning she was jumping and barking at breakfast. Thankfully im a grandma and i always have icing in the house.

Had a big scare with Sugar this morning. First i noticed that she had a rough night. She peed on herself twice. Then when i got her breakfast she didnt jump and bark like usual and refused to eat. Thats when i got worried. This dog has never turned down food. I gave her half her insulin THEN i did the research. Giving her ANY insulin on an empty stomach could cause hypoglycemia any kill her. I remembered her Dr telling me if i saw the signs, and i saw them, to give her a teaspoon of icing. I did that and within minutes she wanted her breakfast and cbd chew. Shes doing fine now. Sure gave me a scare. I could have killed her. Not ready to let her go. Especially like that🐕🥰

Some big changes for Sugar in the last month. I found a canned dog food that is all natural. Ive only found it at HEB and its affordable. Cost about the same as what i was making my own. Save me 3 hours every Sunday.
I also changed her chews. Shes now on CBD. OMG what a difference. Her hips must feel a lot better. She moving a lot easier and faster. Shes actually running, not fast but RUNNING❣❣❣ Seems its also helped her blood sugar because shes not thirsty all the time. These 2 changes have changed her quality of life. My 14 year old is acting 10.
