The beauty and strength of a herd is such an amazing force to observe. First light revealed Condi and Crimson sleeping together again. And the other night the normal tug a war session with Jo and Crimson turned into a 3 way tug of war session with Condi included. Oct 25th marked one year from when we lost Cody. I think the magic of the herd is finally lifting the cloud. They are a cohesive family. They eat, rest, protect, play, nurture and enjoy life together. I am honored to be a part of their herd. Seeing them happy makes me happy ❤️

This moment is magical for me. Condi is a war horse from the track and he rarely trusts the world enough to truly relax and lie down. He usually just rolls and gets back up. I looked out and my boys are lying down together just chilling out. Then I looked up and a bald eagle is flying overhead. WOW what a morning!!!!

Thank you to everyone who has been checking in on us. We are safe!!! The horses are enjoying their first day in the winter pasture full of nice long yummy grass. It's a new chapter :)

Thankfully we are safe from the hurricane but there is a lot of cleanup to do. We have lost quite a few trees and a ton of large limbs came down. One of the trees was caught up in another one and there was no way it was going to free itself. We were rigging it to try to pull it free with the tractor and then we stepped away for a minute to get the tractor. Crimson walked up as if to say "hook me up I got this". Nothing like the original "horse power". This is one brave boy with a huge heart!!
