Howdy from Howerton Oaks Ranch

We are excited to open our ranch for another year of the Howerton Oaks Sheepdog Showcase. We can't wait to see the dogs and their owners demonstrate their talents and skills!

Camper check-in will begin on Friday, February 14th, at 3 PM. If you plan to arrive before this time, please make prior arrangements with Mary Ann Duffy (315.447.8744) or Celeste Lacroix (613.284.6611), as our gate will not be open. We understand that many of you will come and go throughout the event. If you haven't pre-paid or made arrangements, please contact us upon arrival so we can assign you to the appropriate parking spot. Camper parking is $20/night.

Our beautiful property features rolling hills, and we have carefully planned the parking areas for campers based on the landscape and sizes of the campers.

On Saturday and Sunday, we will have food and beverages available:

Breakfast (8am – 10am)
- Hot & Iced Coffee
- Bagels

Lunch (11:30am – 1:30pm)
- Sandwiches w/ Chips or Veggies
- Pasta Salad
- Hot Dogs w/ Chips or Veggies
- Walking Charcutier “Board”
- Assortment of Drinks (water bottles, tea, sodas, etc.)

We are also hopeful to offer a variety of shirts and hats for the event, depending on production. We will have both men's and women's shirts available for Howerton Oaks Ranch and the Howerton Oaks Sheepdog Showcase.

Howerton Oaks Sheepdog Showcase begin on Saturday, February 15, 2025, with a handler meeting at 7AM.
1st run will be 7:30AM.

Class running order is:
Saturday: Open 1
Sunday: Nursery 1, Open Ranch, Pro Novice, Novice Novice, Nursery 2
Monday: Open 2

A few logistical points:
- Trial location: 12551 NE 46th St, Williston, FL 32696, United States
- Campers may arrive any time after 3 PM to 7PM on Friday, February 14th.
- The Howerton’s will be there to greet you and provide you with your pre-assigned parking. If you have not prepaid, camping is $20/night.
- All campers must leave the field by Tuesday February 18th 10:00AM at the latest.
- Please follow the Howertons instructions to access the field.
- Day parking please drive along the laneway and enter through the double gates at the end.
- gates will open on trial dates at 6:30AM daily and close at 7PM
- there will be a food truck hosted by the Howerton Family on Saturday and Sunday. Please support our hosts efforts.
- from 27Alternate there will be border collie signs to direct you to the site
- running orders indicate handlers name only, you may run your choice of dogs
- Due to limited number of runs, non-competition and 3rd dogs in open cannot be accommodated

Howerton Oaks Sheepdog Showcase is officially oversubscribed and a waitlist is being maintained. If you would like to withdraw your entry we are offering full refunds till waitlist is cleared. Please contact Celeste Lacroix or Mary Ann Duffy.
Anyone on the waitlist has been notified.

And that's a wrap folks! Howerton Oaks Sheepdog Showcase 2024 has successfully come to an end.

Our gratitude goes out to Brittany and Scott Howerton for sharing their beautiful ranch with us all. Thank you to all the handlers who travelled so many miles to attend this event.

An event like this takes months to plan and couldn't have been done without the tireless efforts of our trial organizers Mary Ann Duffy and Billy Bishop. Additionally behind the scenes so many other volunteers who dedicated countless hours to make this years trial even better than last year.
