We are pleased to announce the opening of our lobby for all exam, surgery, technician appointment check-ins, as well as prescription pick-ups. If you wish to remain curbside for your service, we are happy to accommodate you, just let us know at the scheduling of the appointment or via text or phone call to 802-879-7984 to check in for your appointment or to pick up products. We are requiring that a mask be worn at all times in the facility. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in the lobby again!

Veterinary medicine is at a critical moment. We are losing high quality, knowledgeable and caring people to other fields. Our team is not immune to the pressures of providing high quality medical care. The burden felt by our team is exacerbated by inflation and the high cost of living in our area. Starting May 1st, we will be adding a fee for appointments with our nursing staff. This increase will go directly to supporting our technical team who have been working very hard to keep your pets healthy.

Otherwise feel free to leave a message on our answering machine and we will return your call as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work together to provide the best care for you and your pets.

We are very excited to now offer both curbside and in-person visits! When scheduling you can select the type of appointment you prefer.
When you arrive for your appointment please call or text us at (802) 879-7984. In order to provide social distancing our waiting room will remain closed. If you are scheduled for an in-person visit we will es**rt you into an exam room when one becomes available. We are requiring masks inside our hospital to continue to keep you and our team safe. We will continue curbside drop offs and curbside delivery of your prescriptions. We appreciate your flexibility and patience while we return to more traditional care.

We are all grateful that Vermont is reopening but we want to remind our beloved clients to remain vigilant to keep themselves safe. We continue to offer curbside care even as life slides back toward normal. This is a commitment to your and our safety. An exam room experience poses too many risks as it is a prolonged interaction in a confined space where social distancing is not possible. There are also restrictions in business operations mandated by the state that prevent us from allowing you into the hospital at this time. We continue to consider special circumstances that necessitate in person visits, like end of life care.

Our team misses you more than you know. We are continually evaluating the risks of the pandemic and with the state’s guidance we look forward to providing more traditional care in the future.

The Governor has ordered Vermonters to stay at home. Rest assured veterinary medicine is an essential service and River Cove Animal Hospital is here for you. We are still available to see your pet via curbside care, an approach we implemented to allow adequate social distancing. In addition we are now offering TELEMEDICINE to help your pets from afar!
