Western Veterinary Clinic is a full service clinic with both large and small animal services.

IF you are driving to work, you may see a gentleman helping an injured dog off the road.
IF you stop to check things out, you may learn that the pup was hit by car.
IF you see that her legs appear injured, you may decide that she needs to ride to work with you. (She may even give you puppy kisses as you get her settled in).
IF you arrive at work with unknown pup, you may cross your fingers as you scan her for a microchip.
IF you get a ding as the microchip number pops up, you may say a little prayer as you check to see if the microchip is registered and you try to reach the owner.
IF you call the owner, you may find that they were searching for their girl that got out after a gate was accidently left open.
IF you are lucky enough to see the reunion of pet and owners, you may just shed a tear of joy.
IF your pet is microchipped, you may check to make sure it is registered and contact information is up to date.
IF your pet is Not microchipped, you may call your Veterinary Clinic to schedule an appointment.

Despite there being a dog in the lobby, Kibby Cat could not resist all the attention from new friends today.

Our clinic has noticed an increase in upper respiratory disease in dogs over the past month. The main clinical sign is coughing with occasional gagging/vomiting. We have noticed that this disease is usually self-limiting which means that it usually runs its course in 7-10 days. If your dog is experiencing these symptoms but is otherwise eating/drinking and acting normally, no treatment is necessary. If it doesn’t resolve within this amount of time or your dog stops eating or drinking please contact our office. Thank you.

A young female cat was brought in to us. She was found in the Bluffs area hit by a car. She is a grey domestic shorthair and had no microchip. She is in stable condition and we are hoping to find her family so she can go home.

We will be closed for Independence Day this year on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th. Please schedule all food and medication pickups accordingly.
Also! If your dog has needed fireworks meds in the past, please call in as soon as you can to get them refilled. If we have not seen your dog in a year or more, we will need to schedule an exam!

Update: Owners have been located

‼️Help Needed ‼️

We had a 10-15lb young intact female yellow terrier brought into our clinic that was hit by a car near the college off of university. Although she is in stable condition we are needing the owners to contact our office as soon as possible.

She was wearing a collar that will need to be described to confirm ownership.

Our office will be closed for
Christmas on December 25th. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday the 26th. We will also be closed on January 1st for New Year’s and back to normal hours on January 2nd.

Please plan medication and food pickups accordingly.

As always we will have a doctor on call for emergencies.
