Chunk!

Chunk is 3 years old and was found wandering the streets of Texas. Our guess is he was used as a breeding dog. When we found him he had some sores on his body but they are healing nicely. It will take a little time for all the fur to grow back. He is good with people, but would suggest no small children. His energy might knock them over. We are thinking for the time being he should be the only dog in the home. He could graduate to having a second dog or doggie friends but he will need time to get used to the idea. Again we think he was solely used for breeding so not socialized much beyond that. He is now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Would prefer a home with bulldog experience.

Sebastian is a Standard Poodle Mix that is about 45 pounds. He is a smart and energetic guy that needs an active family. He is good on leash and rides well in the car. He has been around children 6 and up without issue. He is housebroken and crate trained. Sebastian is learning how to play appropriately with other dogs, he can be a little mouthy at times. He might do best to start out as the only dog in a home, or in a home with an owner that is willing to do a slow and patient introduction.

Thumbelina has been described as an excited sweetheart. She is a French Bulldog Mix and 41 pounds. She absolutely thrives off of human attention and she is also food motivated. Thumbelina is dog friendly however other dogs can find her exuberance a little off putting. Thumbelina over all is a medium energy girl that is happy to chill out, but is also a professional in the zoomie department. She is pretty good on leash and his working on her other basic manners. I posted this information as I wanted to update the information as it was given to me. I forgot that on Facebook people forget their manners. They forget that people have lives apart from 24/7 rescue. They forget that someone else does not get to tell you how to do your process. I do not physically need a copy of the security camera footage. I spoke to the state police in NY and the DOT officer in NY. We are not suing the transport because it would cost a fortune and not have the result hoped for. Suing anyone is not inexpensive. What I posted is what I believe to have happened based on the information available to me. I am not forcing it on anyone else to believe. I also did not expect the attack from one of the fosters. I told her that she can move forward however she needs to. However unless I am called about Sassy's chip or with a sighting, we are stepping back. There are other lives dependent on us, canine and human. That is being disregarded because I will not do as ordered. In fact the foster just threatened to make my messages to her public if I did not do as she demands. I say go for it. When I have done all I am going to do and you still keep bashing my door, I am going to let you have it.... I understand being upset about Sassy. However why attack me.

Sassy is on my mind every day and I did not even get to meet her. We have been working on this terrible situation since we first heard the story about what "supposedly" happened. We know that the story is completely fabricated as there is security footage that shows the Roll n Bones transport van entering and leaving the rest stop. It is time stamped. There were two Hispanic men, (neither elderly or frail) that exit the white pickup truck. They unload 2 dogs, walk them reload them. They take out two more, same thing. None of the dogs are Sassy. No one falls, no loose dogs. They exit the rest area 26 minutes after arriving. No one stays behind to look for Sassy. Security cameras don't lie.

At the time that Celice texted me, transport was not in Glens Falls NY. They were in Grand Rapids NY up near the Canadian border. They were not delayed because of weather, (the storm had passed). There were no road closures. They were late because they were delivering other rescue dogs to other rescues far and wide. There was never a mention of there being other dogs on transport. Never. The story about Sassy getting loose is also refuted by the trapper and the drone companies. Sassy was not a big, strong, tall, powerful dog who would bolt the moment she was loose. She was short and squat and slow. The story is a lie, carefully crafted to cover up what really happened.

Furthermore, the transport posted pictures about their great delivery to Grand Rapids NY on their page. Along with that, they bragged about pictures of all the dogs on board. There were none of Sassy. There were none because she was not on transport any longer and they know that.

Someone has come forward anonymously with information that fits with what we and the DOT officer believe.
They are not asking for the reward. They are incensed at the lies. Their claim aligns with what we believe. Sassy never left Texas. She was left in the transport trailer overnight in Celice's yard, and died there. Celice says that is not true because why did other dogs not die. That is an ignorant statement. In the Pets LLC tragedy a few years ago, they were over 90 dogs on that truck. Twenty two died including 2 of ours. Why? There are a hundred explanations, location in truck, age, health, breed or sheer luck.
Sassy most likely died a horrible death from overheating.

It was also reported to me by people that I trust that transport would not allow anyone to see the inside of the trailer at our boarding facility. That is a huge red flag. Celice will explain this away by saying that her insurance company does not allow it. That is simply not true. Let's see a letter from her insurance company stating that. It will never be shown, because it is another lie. This girl is good. She has perfected lying to an art form. We have actual insurance companies. I understand how they work. It was reported to me that Sassy's body was still on the trailer as other dogs were loaded. They did not allow anyone in because she would have been seen and their negligence uncovered.

It was also reported to me that Sassy's body was disposed of before the transport was out of Texas. Then the fabrication of the story began.

We have requested camera footage from inside the trailer. Celice refused. One of the pieces of information given to me that convinced us of the safety of their "high tech" trailer, was 24/7 camera monitoring, temperature control and monitoring. However, now, when that camera footage could prove her story to be true, it is unavailable. Why? Because there is none. It was just another lie. There is no recorded footage of the inside of that trailer. None. How convenient.

Some folks are imploring me to get the footage and make it public. I can if this ends up in a court of law. However it only proves what they did not do. We already know when they did not do. They did not trip and fall and lose Sassy. They killed her by leaving her in an unoccupied trailer, (which is against the law) and she died there. They came out in the morning and found her and immediately began the coverup. There are no pictures of Sassy that prove that she ever left Texas, no walks, hugs, no happy anything because she was dead. PROVE ME WRONG CELICE. GIVE SOME EVIDENCE THAT THIS IS NOT TRUE. You can't. Anyone who puts a dog on this transport going forward does it knowing that they may never see it again.

Winter is 4 years old and one of our volunteers took her out for the day. This is what she had to say. Winter is one of the best, happiest, easiest dogs I have ever met! She met with a wiggly body and kisses. She is 4 years old. It only took one trip in the truck to convince her she loves to ride and now gets in willingly and sits nicely in the back. She is - by far- the best leash walker I've ever known. She doesn't pull at all! We saw dogs (and deer) and while we didn't get close, she noticed them calmly and didn't react. I took along treats for our walk and when she looked at me, she got one. She is bright and learns quickly. She saw a birthday party and bouncy castle. She wagged her tail when looking at the people at the party. We stopped at a fire station. She loved the firemen and even though there were strange sounds there, she enjoyed exploring. When we stopped at Starbucks, she wagged her tail at the person serving us. Winter is a joyful dog and likely will bond deeply with her person. She's willing to try new things but she is cautious. A sensitive person to offer her an active life and safety is a must. Honestly, if I were looking for a dog to adopt, I would adopt Winter in a heartbeat. Being four years old, she's over the teenage years and is simply a joy to be around.
