August update: We continue to remain open Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 for all appointments, surgeries, vaccines, preventatives, etc. We, along with most veterinary clinics in our state, continue to offer our services curbside, so if you have an appointment or need to pick up a product or food, please call us when you arrive. As of now we are not sure when this curbside policy will change, but we will keep you posted.
In addition to our curbside policy and in accordance with the MN mask mandate, our employees will be wearing masks while serving you outside whenever social distancing cannot be maintained. Please let us know if this prevents you from understanding any information we need to communicate to you.
We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as our phone lines are very busy these days.
We miss seeing you in our clinic and are looking forward to having everyone back inside as soon as possible. We care about you and your pets. Please let us know if you have any questions!

We will be closed tomorrow (Friday, July 3rd) for Independence Day weekend. We will be back to usual business hours on Monday. Stay cool, and have a great and restful weekend!

04/21/2020

Update: We are still here! We are open Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 for all essential appointments, surgeries, vaccines, preventatives, etc.

We appreciate your continued patience with us as our phone lines are very busy these days.

All of our business is still curbside, as a continued precaution to help keep everyone as safe as possible, so please call us from the parking lot when you arrive for your appointment, and call ahead for anything you need to pick up.

We will continue to mail reminder cards for everything your pet is due for; please give us a call to discuss the right timing/procedure for setting up an appointment. If your pet is doing well at home and is not due for shots yet, out of respect for the Governor we may ask you to wait until after the shelter-in-place order is lifted (currently set for May 4) to come in for an appointment. Please call us if you have any questions at all about this. 320-235-1090

As always, please stay home if you aren’t feeling well.

We continue to care deeply about serving you and your furry companions to the best of our ability, and we look forward to being back to business as usual as soon as possible. In the meantime, stay safe!

During the rapidly evolving situation in our world right now, we at Willmar Pet Hospital are completely committed to the care of you, our clients, your pets and our staff. As we weather this pandemic alongside you we’re doing our best to continue to serve you and your pet family safely. Based on the governor’s recent shelter-in-place order, the Board of Veterinary Medicine’s recommendations, and conversations with the Executive Director of the Board, we understand this to mean that for the next two weeks we must limit veterinary care to sick patients and emergencies. Although not every clinic has adopted the same mindset, please know that our number one interest is you and your pets’ safety and the safety of our staff. We’re committed to giving your pets the best care we can, and while we are currently limiting our services for a short time, we look forward to caring for all our patients’ needs as soon as we feel it’s safe for all! If you have questions, don’t hesitate to call and talk to Dr. Cook or one of our staff. 320-235-1090

Hi everyone, we just wanted to give you all another update. Since we are considered an essential business, for the foreseeable future we will continue to remain open Monday - Friday, 8:00 to 5:00. However, we do want to respect the Minnesota Governor’s shelter-in-place order, and so for the next two weeks we do ask that you reschedule and or refrain from scheduling any non-emergency procedures, exams, etc. If you are unsure whether or not your visit would fall into this category, please give us a call and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have. When you call, please be patient with us as our phones are very busy these days!

We will continue to use Facebook to communicate with you and will post updates as often as needed. And as always, if you feel under the weather and or are being quarantined per doctor’s orders due to exposure to COVID-19, please stay at home. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Hello! In response to COVID-19, we at the Willmar Pet Hospital will be instituting a few new policies as of Thursday, March 19th, as a precaution to keep everyone safe.

1. We will be moving the majority of our services to curbside as opposed to in-clinic. Please call us at 320-235-1090 when you arrive for your appointment and we will go over the history and any concerns and then meet you at your car to pick up your pet.

***Please have your pet on a leash or in a carrier, and remain in the parking lot until we return your pet to you.***

You can pay over the phone and we will bring a receipt out to you if necessary. If you are picking up food/medications/ect., please call ahead and pay for these over the phone, and we would be happy to bring them out to your vehicle.

2. If you are feeling under the weather in any way, please stay home. Our staff will do the same.

3. Please consider postponing/rescheduling any routine (non emergency) appointments. These would include vaccinations, elective surgeries, nail trims ect.

4. Boarding patients should only bring necessary food/medications. Please do not bring any dishes/bedding from home at this time.

Thank you so much for your help and cooperation during this time.
