A Hot Day Can Be Deadly To A Pet Left In A Parked Car!

~ In just 30 minutes, the temperature inside your car can reach 120 degrees or hotter.

~ At 110 degrees, your pet may have just minutes to live! Your pet will suffer heatstroke, leading to collapse, brain damage, and an agonizing death!
If Your Pet Is Overheated, Take Emergency Action!

~ Place a cool or cold, wet towel around your pet's neck or pour cool water over your pet's body, especially the abdomen and between the hind legs.
~ Take your pet to a veterinarian for a thorough examination.

RABIES CLINIC:
Joe Lewis from Mtn View Animal Clinic will be hosting a Rabies Clinic in Willow Springs @ Booster Field on May 4th, 2024. The Clinic is scheduled to run from 9am-11am.

Rabies only vaccine will be $12 and Rabies distemper parvo $23.

We will also be present to conducting animal registration for anyone who resides within city limits!

If you are going to register your dog with the city. Be advised the registration will be cash only, and the pricing for that is $3 if they are spayed/neutered and $5 if they are not.

This sweet boy was found this morning on Sunshine Drive. He has a collar but no tags.

This super sweet boy is available for adoption. He's been in our custody since 1/12/2024 and he's been nothing but a sweet happy pup!

🐾Low cost spay/neuter opportunity 🐾
Carol House in Rolla offers $30 dog spay/neuter and $20 cat spay/neuter through the BARC program. Individuals who receive any form of government assistance such as food stamps, Medicare/Medicaid, SSI etc. can take advantage of the BARC program, as well as individuals who earn $20,000 or less per year or families who earn $32,000 or less.

If you do not qualify for the BARC program you may still qualify for the Quick Fix Program. Individuals earning $30,000 or less, and families earning $50,000 or less qualify for Quick Fix ($59 dog spay/neuter and $39 cat spay/neuter).

Standard prices for those who do not qualify for either program (no income requirement) are $94.00 for dog spay/neuter and $74 for cat spay/neuter.

They also have a wellness clinic and offer vaccines, nail trim, ear cleaning, microchipping, and much more.

With the possibility of inclement weather approaching, here are a few reminders:
• If you are a parent or guardian in the district, you will receive a call, text, and email informing you of any weather-related closures, bus route changes, or schedule changes. Please ensure your contact information is correct in your parent portal account.
• The district will also place a pop-up message on our website at www.willowbears.com, send out a notification through the Willow Bears App (free for anyone to download in the Apple and Google Play stores), and post on the district's social media pages. Make sure your push notifications are on in the Willow Bears App - to do this, open the app and select "menu", then click "settings", then you will click "push notifications" and select each building you would like notifications for.
• The district will also share closure information with area radio and television stations, but please rely on district channels as your primary source.

You will be informed as soon as a decision is made. We always work to make the best decision in the most timely manner with safety as a top priority.

A happy end to a long trip! This dog was lost by his family as they passed through willow moving 9hrs North, tonight with the help of numerous rescue volunteers he was reunited with his family just in time for Christmas!

This sweet dog was picked up today October 30th near the bear crossing shopping center in Willow Springs. It was with another black and brown dog that is still loose.

These 3 dogs were picked up today on E 3rd street in Willow Springs. The female has a chain collar and the male has a red nylon collar.
