When one of the pigs turns the water on over night and creates a HUGE mud pile, the other pigs take advatags of it!
Pumbaa is definitely loving this mud pit. He rolled around in it for about 10 minutes.

Happy Monday from Amy, Pax, and Mickey! ❤️
Pax is a new addition to the farm. He’s a senior horse who needed a pasture to retire to. He’s looking forward to lazy days, lots of lovins, and new friends. He has joint issues in his legs that will need care for the rest of his life.

This is one of our new baby goats on the farm! He is sweet and as cute as a button. We don’t have a name for him yet and would love any suggestions! ❤️😊

Meet Huey, Dewey, and Louie! ❤️🐐
These are some of our newest additions to the ranch. They were owner surrendered. Sometimes owners want to make sure that their sweet babies stay together; aren’t sold, aren’t separated, or put on someone’s dinner table. Sometimes these babies just need a bigger space or pasture, no fault from the owner. Most every owner surrender has been to make sure their babies are able to live out there best lives. These sweet boys LOVE the fruits and veggies that we get donated from Grahams Fruit Stand and LOVE LOVE LOVE being pet and getting kisses.

Jack says HAPPY FRIDAY!
Jack is our orphaned donkey who lost his mom shortly after he was born. He is the sweetest donkey out there and loves to be pet. When he hears his name he starts running towards you. When jack first became orphaned, he would be along the fence line of our neighbors pasture to see their donkeys and would refuse to come up to eat. We were having to hand feed him and bring him hay every feeding time. We decided to get another donkey to keep him company, and he adores her. He is now eating grass, hay, and getting more comfortable around the pasture. We love Jack so much and he LOVES visitors.

Beans was rocking it today ❤️
As soon as I pulled out the camera he started posing for me!
Here’s a back story behind Beans-
He was born on the farm from a goat that was surrendered who we named coffee. Amy went outside one day to check on everyone and noticed Coffee had given birth but there was no baby in sight. She walked around until she found Beans curled up next to a tree. He was only 1 pound, ONE! Coffee rejected him because he was too weak. He couldn’t stand on his own let alone walk on his own. So, we brought Beans inside hoping for the best by bottle feeding him and trying to help him gain strength. After bringing him inside, we realized he couldn’t even hold his bladder. This poor one pound baby who couldn’t stand on his own, couldn’t even hold his bladder so he would p*e where he was laying. Lucky for us, Zoe is amazing at bottle feeding and he took to the bottle quickly. Within a few days, Beans was walking!!! The days leading up to him taking his first steps, Zoe and Amy would work with him all day to stand him up and help him balance. Soon, Beans was able to hold his bladder and became so healthy. He is definitely one of our favorite stories on the farm. From a one pound baby who was left alone and to fend for himself, is now one of the top goats in charge on the farm! ❤️❤️❤️

Fun Emu Fact! While it may seem that they pose for photos, they are in fact plotting a theft. Just after this picture was snapped, Mickey did in fact end up with one braid, one hair tie, and a whole bunch of laughs for the day. Mickey: 1; Zoe: 0.

We want to give a HUGE shout out to Bread For The Hungry of East Texas for always thinking about us whenever they have food that has reached its final expiration. The animals ALWAYS enjoy the extra snacks and treats that are donated. It is always good to know that, no matter what food NEVER goes to waste there. We are so grateful for them!

For anyone wondering what running a rescue looks like-
This is our feed bill for the animals every week. This also doesn’t account for the special feed we have to buy from Chewy every month which is another expense for our babies. We appreciate all of our followers and donators. This is why we say every donation is appreciated and your generosity does NOT go unnoticed! We love our babies and make sure that they are well fed.
I know this isn’t our normal type of post, but this is real. This is the work of rescues.

501c3 We try to give all animals the best life they can live. No matter what it looks like. BEFORE YOU EUTHANIZE CONTACT US. if you feel you can’t handle it, we will try. We are in East Texas. Believe In Vegan Ranch.
We moved out to the country as a large family after 20 years in the City. This property called to us, and we fell in love, and moved in a heartbeat. We lost a beloved son, in 2011, to a senseless crime, that no amount of justice will bring him back. We have moved along broken, and hurt for years, trying to heal.
This move has been a renewed starting point. And the animals, that has been a no-brainer. They have needed us, the same as we have needed them. First were the horses, rescued from the Kill-Pens, to keep them from being shipped to slaughter.
And then the goats, and sheep, and chickens. Additions to our family from others who wanted to know we would take care of them as family, not food. We have taken in llamas, a mini donkey, and now birds, including a cockatoo and a few parrots, all who needed a new home.
We make sure that we can provide the care the animals need and deserve as the decision to take them in.
Many of these are bottle babies and have been raised just after birth inside our home. They come to us just as any companion animal would for affection, no matter what their size is now.
