Originally the building was a ceramic studio and was remodeled to become a veterinary facility. Seltrecht, DVM, joined the practice in 1961 immediately after graduating from Iowa State University. Mattson, a 1987 Iowa State Graduate, joined Terry Animal Hospital in 1989. He achieved American Board of Veterinary Practitioners Diplomate status in 1993, became a partner in 1996. Mattson, a 1987 Iowa
State graduate, joined Terry Animal Hospital in 2001. In addition to seeing patients, she is the hospital manager. Blose, (Sally) is also a 1987 Iowa State Graduate and was IVAS certifed in Acupuncture in 2002. She joined Terry Animal Hospital in 2009 and became a partner in 2012. She and her dog, Hoss, became registered as an animal assisted therapy team in 2012 and visited local schools, libraries, and hospitals until his retirement in December 2015. Buonopane joined Terry Animal Hospital in May of 2016. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and earned her degree of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University in 2009. When not at work, Dr. Buonopane enjoys riding her horse, fishing, traveling, and watching Gator football. She shares her home with her fiancΓ© Joe, their dogs Buoy, Wicket, and Bones, and their cats Citrus and Roti. Childs, a 2016 University of Illinois graduate, is excited to work with exotic pets as well as cats and dogs. She shares her home with a cat, Niko, and their menagerie of frogs. In 1967 Terry Animal Hospital was accepted into the prestigious American Animal Hospital Association. AAHA is a professional Veterinary association that Terry Animal Hospital voluntarily brings in to review and inspect the practice to ensure it complies with AAHAβs high standards for medical care.
