February is National Dental Pet Health Month 🦷

Did you know more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats are affected by some degree of dental disease by the time they reach three years of age?

Signs of dental disease in pets can vary greatly:
1. Bad breath
2. Broken tooth/teeth
3. Drooling
4. Decreased appetite (especially with dry food)
5. Pawing around the mouth
6. Sudden change in behavior (secluding themselves or even new aggression)
7. Chronic sneezing
8. Discharge from the nose
These are just a few of the many symptoms our four-legged friends might display when their oral health is out of sorts.

Pets, especially cats, can also be very clever at hiding their discomfort until it becomes a more serious problem. This is why regular 6 month check-ups with the veterinarian are so important. With every biannual visit your pet's mouth is evaluated for good health and to conduct a personalized plan to address any concerns.

🐾🚨🐾🚨🐾🚨A dear client asked us to post a photo of her dog, Leon, along with a video of him being stolen right from her home this morning. If anyone sees Leon, please phone the Wilmette PD. The video is of low quality, unfortunately, but any information leading to the rescue and return of Leon is appreciated. Leon does have a microchip that any veterinary office can scan and look up. 🐾🚨🐾🚨🐾🚨
