Hi Pine Valley Family,

We just learned that Save This Life, the microchip company we use, has apparently shut down nationwide. They are no longer responding to customer calls, emails, or inquiries. Unfortunately, this means Save This Life microchips are no longer functional for reuniting you with your pet.

To ensure your pet’s microchip remains a reliable safety tool, we strongly recommend transferring its registration to another trusted registry.

Here are some options:
✅ Free Pet Chip Registry: A free, universal registry for any microchip brand. Visit freepetchipregistry.com.
✅ Other registries: A quick internet search will provide additional reputable options. Please note some may charge a small fee.

If you aren’t sure of your pet’s microchip number, we’re happy to scan your pet and provide it for you. Just give us a call!

To check if your pet’s microchip is from Save This Life, you can search the number here:
🔗 AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool: aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/

We’re so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we’re here to help. Please reach out if you have questions or need assistance!

❄️SNOW IN WILMINGTON NEXT WEEK? We’ll see about that! Until then, let’s talk about chilly weather and how it can affect our pets with arthritis. 🐾

Here are a few tips to keep them comfy:
✔️ Provide a soft, warm bed to ease joint pain.
✔️ Keep walks short and gentle, especially for seniors.
✔️ Ask Dr. Tarter or Dr. Lantzer about supplements or medications for joint support.

If your pet seems stiff or uncomfortable this winter, give us a call—we’re here to help! 💙

🚨PLEASE DON'T RELEASE BALLOONS! They pollute the environment, harm wildlife, and endanger animals who mistake them for food.

At Pine Valley, we care about all animals—both the ones we treat and the wildlife. When balloons are released, they often end up in our oceans or on land, where they can cause serious harm to:

🌊 Marine Life: Balloons look like food to animals like sea turtles and dolphins, causing deadly blockages.
🐾 Pets: Dogs can choke or get injured by balloon fragments or strings.
🦅 Wildlife: Birds and other animals can become entangled, leading to injury or worse.

Consider eco-friendly alternatives like planting a tree or flying a kite instead of releasing balloons.

Look at those eyes!😻 Isn't Bindi a beauty?

Did you know your cat’s eyes can reveal a lot about their health?
👁️ Keep an eye out for:
✔️ Cloudiness or redness
✔️ Excessive tearing or discharge
✔️ Frequent squinting

If you notice any of these, it’s time for a vet visit. Regular check-ups help ensure your kitty’s eyes stay as bright and beautiful as Bindi’s! 🐾 💙
