Our programs are aimed at the most vulnerable and those at risk of euthanasia. Heidi’s Hope For Homeless Animals’ lifesaving animal advocacy programs help save homeless dogs and cats in our community and beyond. In addition, our programs help keep pets out of the shelters and keep them in their homes with their families, where they belong. Listed below is some of our impact in saving the lives of
homeless animals in need:
Our Pet Food Bank provides pet food and supplies for families facing economic hardship. Our Pet Food Bank fills a void in our community. Heidi's Hope for Homeless Animals' Pet Meals on Wheels
Sadly, many Senior Citizens share their meals with their pets for various reasons, mostly because they can’t afford to buy pet food. In 2018, we created Heidi’s Hope for Homeless Animals’ Pet Meals On Wheels program to feed hungry pets of housebound Senior Citizens. We grew this program to be available in New Hanover County, Onslow County, and Pender Brunswick County to provide monthly pet food donations to house-bound Senior Citizens.
