We are very excited to be in an area where we can offer convenience, flexibility and a whole lot of tail wagging. Our location offers: holistic pet foods and treats, toys, leashes, collars, dog training (classes as well as individual and in home sessions), doggie day school and kennel free boarding. Doggie Day School: is all about individual attention and playtime in a social environment with othe

r temperament tested dogs who love to interact with people and other dogs. We pride ourselves about being a step above many doggie daycares. Your best friend will enjoy a day of play, socialization, individual help with special issues as well as walks. We keep our doggie day school small in numbers to allow us to provided individual time with your best friend. Doggie Day School/Boarding: We are offer boarding in a limited fashion, all dogs spending the night with us must be temperament tested in order to play with our Doggie Day School students. We are a kennel free facility, however we do have crates for those friends who enjoy some den time instead of sleeping on their very own air mattress with blankets. We will only board 10 dogs at a time to ensure your best friend has as much fun on their vacation as you do yours. A staff member always spends the night at our facility. Training classes/individual help: We offer a wide variety of classes and flexible days and times to our friends. At D & G's we don't believe a dog is just a dog, we believe your dog is your family member and love helping you and your best friend create a lifetime bond of trust, respect and love.

Whiskey is available for adoption through PAWS Humane Society, Inc. He is part of their enrichment program and attended our meet and greet event on Saturday. If you are looking for a fun-loving dog who loves people, especially children and other dogs, this boy could very likely be your love match. Whiskey does have some husky in him, so he must have a fenced-in yard.

Did you miss out on our big meet and greet yesterday? To everyone who came out and spent time with these wonderful dogs and organizations, thank you. Word is all the dogs were absolutely exhausted in a good way and slept very well last night. To our wonderful friend who took sweet old man Cooper home to foster so he could have a much calmer and quieter environment than our place, my heart and soul thanks you.

Rita Moreno of PAWS Humane Society, Inc. arrived at our facility last Saturday and has been doing amazing. We have not been sharing up dates because on Monday evening, we were notified that Rita has an amazing opportunity to have a career. We had a lengthy conversation with Shawn of @ Pup Assist,llc on Tuesday. Rita will be starting her purpose in life on January 19th. We look forward to following her progress and adventures. In the meantime, she's enjoying being with her friends and lots of playtime.

Jack aka Blackie had spent 1 year at Highland County Dog Pound, he arrived early February requiring extensive surgery and training. He was adopted late May and had his holiday magic in his forever home. BTW, he no longer watches and waits by the window. Here's to an amazing 2025 sweet boy

Our first Viszula in day school, this girl has been teaching us a lot of ways to help that obstinate intelligent soul of hers to be fulfilled so she's calmer with her friends. Does your dog like to play tug? This is a great way to teach "Done" as your default "off switch". This is a game we played with Rita from the shelter. We just started this exercise with Birdie for the first time today. It didn't take her long to catch on. We are always about incorporating learning with games. #PLAYHARDHAVEFUN #schoolfordogs

Walter, who is a 14 month old pure bred Doberman, is still with us through Peaches Bully Rescue. He has done amazing with other dogs, crate trained, house trained, and has been working on basic manners. Please share to help this amazing boy find his purpose. Dorscha was working with Benny on the other side of the fence along with Walter this morning. We always try to keep fence activity calm to prevent fence fighting or over excitement. Walter had some issues at his previous foster with this. If you notice, Dorscha runs out as soon as Benny starts really pushing his nose into the fence. We have been working with Walter on this every day on a long line and teaching him to walk away or back off. He loves playing, but until he learns to listen to our cues at all times, he will not be fully integrated into day school as he is large and likes to play a little hard which was allowed at his previous home, which got him in trouble. New life, new rules, it's all about helping him be successful in a new forever home. Peaches Bully Rescue #adoptwalter

Gio is working on his eye-paw coordination. For those of you who don't know, Gio became a member of our pack after being found in a ditch in January. He has cerebellar hypoplasia along with other secondary neurological issues. Even though many would have euthanized this boy, we all knew he was coming into our lives to teach us and to share his joyful attitude. #giovannithewonderdog #itsthesimplethings
