UPDATE: foster found ♥️ Derek made it through surgery late last night but due to some complications he’s not quite out of the woods yet. He will be hospitalized for a bit longer and then hopefully he will be on his way to recover in his loving foster home. We will keep everyone posted!

📣 EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED: Derek is a 4 year old pittie who urgently needs help. According to the previous owners he has not been able to keep any food down for the past *two weeks* and the vet has determined he has an obstruction and needs immediate surgery. The family is unable to continue his care and Derek has been surrendered to us, but we MUST find a foster for him to go to after his surgery! He has lived with kids and other dogs and is a good boy. Please consider opening your home and heart to this poor guy who so badly needs a place to go.

We cover all costs, fostering is free! We also provide all supplies needed, you provide a temporary place for him to rest and recover.

Our sweet Aubrey has cancer. She has come so far, finally is living her best life in a loving foster home after being abused for years and now this devastating news. Aubrey has an aggressive stomach cancer that has spread. We aren’t sure how much time she has left so we want to make the most of her days. Do you guys have any suggestions on places we could take Aubrey around the Wilmington, DE or Kennett Square, PA area? We would love to take her on a few special outings if she’s up for it. Norman had another check up at Middletown Veterinary Hospital and got his stitches out last night. He also got sooo much lovins while he was there 💕 He is healing beautifully. His leg still drags a little but he’s able to correct it now when he wasn’t before. This is remarkable progress and everyone was so happy with how well he was getting around. He may always walk a little funny but we’re so thankful the leg was able to be saved. Norman has such a bright, happy future ahead of him and we are so thankful to our loving community for all their support to help get him here. He’s a happy, funny, silly boy and we can’t wait to keep updating everyone on how great he continues to do ♥️

Today we had to say goodbye to one of the sweetest souls we have ever rescued. Lilly was the most darling little girl and for the last 4 months was loved and cared for beyond measure. Her foster family went above and beyond managing her seizures, all the vet visits, all the changes in medications to try to get them under control but yesterday they just wouldn’t stop. Lilly was hospitalized and given the strongest medications for seizures available and still they wouldn’t stop. Lilly girl, you were loved and adored and you will be missed dearly. We cannot put into words how grateful we are to Lilly’s foster family for loving her the way they did and all that they have done for her. Lilly’s foster dad was her hero. He was at every vet appointment, took countless hours off of work to get her the care she needed and managed her medications around the clock. Today was absolutely devastating. Lilly was such a special girl to all of us and our hearts are heavy tonight wishing so badly she could still be here and we could love her just a little bit longer.

Mr. Short Cake aka Shorty is ready to find his forever home! What he lacks in legs he makes up for in love 💙 Shorty is about 7 years old and is as good of a boy as they come. He’s done well with other dogs, cats and kids. He loves to snuggle and go for rides in the car. Shorty has the cutest prance with his little legs, it’s adorable! He’s calm, quiet, potty trained and super easy for walks. Life hasn’t always been so kind to this sweet soul, we’re looking for a forever family to show him the unconditional love he deserves and we promise he will pay you back with so much more.

Sonny update! He’s doing great! He loves to snuggle and hang out with his foster mom. He is now getting around really well as a tripod. Sonny’s personality is staring to show more and more each day and it’s all sweetness. We love this guy so much.

‼️FOSTER NEEDED! Leo is a wiggly, happy, medium energy guy. He’s the perfect balance of fun and chill when it’s time to relax. One thing he will never turn down is a chance to cuddle on the couch 💕 Leo is about 3 years old, 55lbs, crate and potty trained. He is open to meeting other dogs but would do best as an only child or with a laid back female who doesn’t care much about toys, we do know he doesn’t like to share with other pups. Can’t blame the guy, he came to us skinny and in sad shape. He is good with cats! Please consider giving this sweetheart a temporary place to stay, he’s currently in a foster home that’s not a good fit and he has to be crated all the time, it’s just not fair to him.

Norman is now resting comfortably in his foster home ♥️ Thank you Middletown Veterinary Hospital for taking such good care of him and thank you to everyone who donated and shared to help this sweet baby. Norman went from being discarded in the woods to now having an entire community rooting for him. We are so thankful for the support and we will continue to keep everyone updated on his progress.

Sweet baby Norman had emergency surgery to repair the hole he has in the side of his face by his eye as well as two other severe wounds on the back of his legs. He’s been cleaned up and the swelling on his chest is going down. The wound on his face was so much worse than what you could see until you pulled the skin back and it revealed a large gaping hole that had to be surgically closed and a drain placed. The prognosis for his leg is guarded, he has suffered nerve damage and he may or may not regain full control of his front paw. Our hope is that with time as he grows and heals he will be able to walk normally again but if not there’s a good chance he has an amputation in his future. Our boy is getting the best care possible and we can’t even begin to describe how grateful we are to everyone that has donated and shared to take care of him. We are so thankful to have the support of our community to be able to save dogs like Norman. We get to pick him up from the hospital tomorrow and will update everyone as he gets settled into his foster home who can’t wait to give him all the love ♥️

‼️PLEASE HELP‼️ Norman was discovered by a clean-up crew discarded in the woods behind an apartment complex. He was petrified, overheated, painful and unable to bear weight on his right front leg, preventing him from moving into a safer location or being able to beg for help. His body shows signs that he has endured a horrible attack. It horrifies us to imagine what this young, innocent soul has endured and yet he is so grateful and accepting of the assistance from kind humans at the shelter. We are going to get this baby all better but we need your help! Please consider making a donation for his extensive medical care. We will keep everyone posted on his progress 💙

His alternative is crate and rotate at a temporary foster that’s not a good fit for him and that’s just not fair. Sonny is doing good and getting around much better. He enjoyed watching his foster mom cook dinner last night and all the extra attention 💕 We are so proud of him and so thankful to all the people who helped get him here. We’ve gotten through the worst part of the recovery and he is so much more comfortable, it’s all good days from now on ♥️

Please help! Our sweetheart Sonny was having a lot of pain from the amputation, he’s now back at the vet being hospitalized so he can receive stronger pain meds for the next few days.
