Please donate towards the 5 employee cars that were flooded at Fix A Friend while they evacuated animals. Several were older paid for cars that only had liability. A couple were covered by collision---paying off their loans, but they are left without cars and jobs right now so not in the best position for new loans. Please donate cash or consider donating cars!

FIX A FRIEND NEEDS TO GET FIXED! If you EVER had a pet fixed at Fix A Friend we NEED YOU! Please donate $5 in our honor. We have done over 130,000 surgeries since 2013 and if everyone donated $5 we would reach our goal. We want to fix this clinic, raise it 6 feet, get our team back to work and get back to fixing animals for our community. But the truth is that we had already outgrown this building. So, we want to build a BIGGER CLINIC next door and then turn this building into an adoption center/shelter. Adopt an Angel owns the spay/neuter clinic and two acres of land but has NO SHELTER. Its animals stay in boarding facilities, pet stores and foster homes. Will you help us FIX FIX A FRIEND?

Adorable felines of all ages & sizes are pleading for loving forever homes. Meet many of them this weekend & never be lonely again. All are fixed & UTD on shots. Cats & kittens are also available daily during open hours at Petco & Pet Supermarket in Wilmington & at Petsense in Leland & Shallotte.

Ohmigod! Thank you to the Brunswick Sheriff’s Animal Protective Services who came to our rescue. This makes me cry. See cardboard carriers with little hearts where staff were grabbing and assembling cardboard carriers to evacuate 100 animals to the side of the road and then to the shelter. This was the LAST trip to the road and carried our homeless kittens from Adopt An Angel. Please donate to help us raise the building at www.adoptanangel.net.

Hey everyone!

Many of you know I volunteer with Adopt an Angel and Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic!

Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic and all equipment is owned by Adopt an Angel, a 501c3 charitable organization, tax id 20-057652, was flooded with 3-4 feet of water on Monday. 80 cats, 20 dogs and staff were evacuated by boat to the animal shelter because owners and rescues were unable to come back to get them due to flooded roads. The clinic has flood insurance, but that does not cover CONTENTS. They are still assessing the damage to equipment and will have a better idea now that they can get inside and floodwaters have subsided. The clinic will need washer, dryer, refrigerators, two $20,000 autoclaves, 6 anesthesia machines. The insurance will help build it back to the way it was. However, after having had TWO 500 year floods in 6 years, putting it back the way it was is not the answer. They need to build it back bigger, higher and better than it was and if with a DREAM of adding in a small adoption center for the cats, kittens and dogs Adopt an Angel rescues. They are also hoping to get off of a septic system and tap into county water and are talking with a contractor who is meeting with architects to raise the entire building 3-4 feet. This is a vital part of our community providing services and has done over 120,000 surgeries since 2013 and typically do over 100 surgeries a day. Over 40 animal rescues and shelters have no way to get their animals fixed until it is rebuilt. So what do you say, can you help?

From this to that in 4 days! Special thanks to our volunteers who gutted and cleaned the building so that contractors could start work tearing it apart today. We have flood insurance to pay for rebuild and some contents. We are lifting the building so we need more money to cover this project and for lost equipment. Please donate to Adopt An Angel at www.adoptanangel.net. We need fundraisers because we need money to come in from any and every direction. A long term goal is to build a bigger clinic on the property next to this clinic and turn our existing clinic into an adoption center. Reality is we have outgrown this clinic but we need to continue to operate while that one next door is being built. We can’t close for a year to do this and leave the community with no spay neuter help. So if you have ideas for businesses to hold fundraisers for us shoot us ideas. New bigger building is subject to zoning and septic hoops we gotta jump though. But we might as well start the ball rolling in that direction. And you might as well DREAM. Let’s see what our community can do for our homeless animals. 40 rescues and shelters and the public rely on our low cost services. Every day we are closed means animals are reproducing.
