🌟Appreciation post! 🌟 Anyone that knows knows that she is no stranger to hard work. Throughout the past several years Libby has watched and learned and always offered or helped with anything she could do in the barn and at horse shows. When there is an extra horse to ride, she doesn’t ask who, she gets on whomever it is with a big smile and works on whatever we discuss. I am so proud of the horse person she is, and is becoming, and we all are so appreciative of all her hard work and dedication to us and most importantly our horses ❤️
And this week we added a trainee… also eager to learn, always watching, will ride a broomstick around a course if asked to ☺️ really stepped up. I don’t think this poor girl sat down from Thursday am until tonight. In her top 3 list of goals was horsemanship, learning what is beyond riding, more about care and the process behind it. I said the best way to learn is to always try to be “there”, everywhere, because you can learn something ANYWHERE. Well, she sure took that to heart, and throughout the weekend was in fact everywhere, and if she wasn’t needed in a specific place, she was often next to me at the ingate or setting jumps… 👏 Throughout all this hard work, all weekend she rode GREAT, and then she laid down the most beautiful derby trip with her boy Cisco earning a score of 90!! 🌟
I couldn’t begin to do my job at the ring without the amazing and capable work behind the scenes, and I am so grateful. I am also so happy to share things that were taught to me for so many years, and so proud to see a younger generation of horseman being developed! I am one of so many professionals on a Sunday night, sitting and thinking about the show week with so much appreciation. We are all thinking we MUST absolutely have THE BEST help. And I think we are all right. ❤️
