SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: GABRIELLE THOMAS

From West Salem, OH, Gabrielle is pictured here with her horse, Pete. She is majoring in Equine Studies with a concentration in Training. She also is obtaining two minors in Business and Spanish. Her favorite horse from Asbury’s herd is Patriot. She plans to graduate in December 2024.

Gabrielle’s favorite memory at the equine center has been the time she has had with her police colt, Ozark. Those will be memories that she will always fondly look back on.

Her words of wisdom for the underclassmen include: Get involved in extracurricular activities. Give your all to all you do, whether it goes the way you plan it or not.

Gabrielle’s favorite Bible verse comes from Romans 8:38-39, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

After graduation, Gabrielle will be moving to North Carolina to work at an equine vet clinic.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: SARAH YOST

From Red Lion, PA, Sarah is majoring in Equine Assisted Services with a concentration in Equine Assisted Activities. Her favorite horse from Asbury’s herd was Teaguer. She plans to graduate in December 2024.

Sarah’s favorite memory at the equine center has been driving the shires from Shaker Village down the driveway pulling a sled while people stood on it.

Her words of wisdom for the underclassmen include: Try as many new things as you possibly can! This is your time to explore, learn, and discover what you’re passionate about. Take every opportunity to learn something new!

Sarah’s favorite Bible verse comes from Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

After graduation, Sarah plans to become PATH certified and begin working somewhere in the EAS field, hopefully teaching.
