For the first 15 to 30 days after graduation, we want to continue encouraging twister to get up on the couch in order to put on any type of collar harness or leash. The couch creates a sense of calming effect and allows for the process of getting her ready to go on a walk much more manageable, especially because you don’t have to bend down all the way we all know she likes her belly rubs so we don’t wanna reward her with a belly rub if she’s not allowing you to get her equipment on. Once she’s all hooked up and ready to go on a walk The only other obstacle is the door. Remember, we wanna calm Dog before starting the walk. If she can’t remain calm inside, there’s no way to expect her to remain calm on the outside.

Lilly, our newest 4-week Graduate 👩‍🎓 came to us with what the vet called a “Genetic Defect.”

After plenty of rear leg stretching and exercises, she went from altogether rejecting any forward leash pressure- to being able to complete multiple lapses around the soccer field!! 👏🙌🏆🏅

I couldn't be more proud of the work our Pupologists put into her! She’s well on her way to a beautiful life with her owners.🎉🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Josie(2 yr. Old rescue dog THE MAGGIE SOCIETY, Canine Rescue, Rehabilitation and Education found.) working on a long line out on a vast field, mimicking her owner's yard. We took advantage of our old client and friend Nicole along with her, to rescue dogs, one of which was a fully certified service dog, starting with the help of the Simply Balance K-9 Pupology course. Her service dog is completely off-leash trained, and her newest addition(a 5-month-old rescue) is also from Maggie’s🙌. Rex, the pup, is what makes this even more ideal as he still needs the long line as well. These 3 makes a great combination as there is an ideal situation for working on Josie’s boundaries on y’all’s property. I plan to introduce Josie to some basic white flags, once they’re putting up she’ll learn to see them as a boundary or signal for a barrier. She’s not allowed to go past. Once we get to your house and put up your boundaries, Josie should already have some familiarity which will make it a whole lot easier. 

Scout Completed Our 3 Week Board and Train Program, we were so happy to get this update from his owner…big shout out to the family who came to every single one on one session(5) which I know made a tremendous impact on his transition home and continued long-term success. GREAT JOB GUYS, COULDN’T BE PROUDER!
