As we prepare to embark on a new year, we take a moment to acknowledge the tireless efforts and unwavering dedication of countless individuals who have made a profound impact on our community. Wilton Animal Rescue is a testament to the transformative power of collective action, and we are deeply grateful for the invaluable support we have received from our community, volunteers, and local businesses.

Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, including rescuing over 300 dogs and facilitating nearly 150 adoptions, a shining example of what can be accomplished when compassion, kindness, and determination come together. As we look to the future, we remain committed to our mission and are inspired by the knowledge that, together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Senator Niello, Elk Grove City Council, the Grove school district, 4H groups, and the Girls Brownie group, whose contributions have been instrumental in our success.

We are also grateful for the support of local businesses, veterinary clinics, and animal shelters, who have joined forces with us to combat animal homelessness. Our dog trainers, groomers, and fosters are the unsung heroes of our organization, and we couldn’t be more thankful for their tireless efforts. Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported Wilton Animal Rescue this year. Your generosity, kindness, and commitment to our mission have made a tangible difference in the lives of countless animals, and we look forward to continuing our work together in the years to come.

May you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

What is the purpose of discharging an automatic weapon at 2:30am? It's a jarring and unsettling sound that disrupts the entire household, including the animals. Please cease firing rounds near our ranch.

Wilton Animal Rescue has received its largest donation of the year, presented to us at the Rescue facility. While I will not disclose the donor's identity, as I am uncertain whether this information is public, please know that your generosity is deeply appreciated. This substantial contribution will significantly support our efforts to construct additional weatherproof kennels. This donation was particularly timely, as it will enable us to procure the necessary cement and materials to weatherproof the holding area for supplies. Leon and I are both overwhelmed by the remarkable generosity shown to our local rescue organization.

The Wilton Animal Rescue would like to express its deepest gratitude to Jessica Alves for her charitable donation of a substantial quantity of meat bones in support of the canine residents. Furthermore, she graciously provided chicken from her freezer, which will be utilized to aid dogs experiencing stomach upset. Currently, our team is preparing the chicken for packaging into bags of chicken and rice. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Jessica Alves for her kindness and compassion towards the animals in our care. If anyone has meat bones they wish to donate, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be delighted to accept them and provide a special treat for the dogs.

🌟 Helllllooooooooo! Is anybody out there?

My amazing rescue family at Wilton Animal Rescue just let me know that my photo is up on the web! They’re on the lookout for the perfect adoption application to find me a forever home. 🏡❤️ I’m so excited I can barely hide it!

I dream of a home where I can snuggle up with you, give puppy kisses, and explore the world around us.

A little about me, I’m about a year old, male, neutered, up to date on my shots and a cutie! Yes, I say cutie, because that’s what Carol and Leon tell me!!

I was born with four legs, but now I’m a proud tripod dog! 🐾 I was found on the highway 99 - in between Lodi, CA and Galt, CA in the median of the freeway. Yep, the middle of the freeway!! I was rescued and received the name Freeway after being hit by a car or two, surviving for over a month by eating whatever I could find. Thankfully, Carol and Leon heard about me, and set not one, not two, but three traps to rescue me before the rainstorm hit. It sounds like me and the number three has something in common… I hear that the number three is a good number…

So here’s my ask, if you have room in your home and your heart, I would be so grateful if you’d consider submitting an application to give me the loving forever home I’ve always dreamed of! I can’t wait to hear about the applications coming in for me! Wishing you all a very happy holiday season, a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year! 🎉 Can’t wait to meet you!
