A large amount of dumped and unwanted dogs is overflowing into all counties now. We need to stop bringing dogs in from other countries and from other areas. The more we bring in from other areas the more we have to euthanize in our own backyard.

This is a message from Stanislaus County. Itโs no difference in San Joaquin county and itโs definitely no different in Sacramento county.
Spay And Neuter, your dogs do not allow them to breed any longer. We cannot keep up with the numbers and unless you know somebody who can take in 45 cats and 15 dogs into their home thereโs no reason for anyone to be breeding. Stanislaus is desperate just like your local shelters.
Stanislaus shelter is looking at euthanizing 30 dogs on Sunday if theyโre not adopted or fostered by someone.
UPDATE: owner picked Blue up a couple days ago. The dog is chipped to the mother in law who gave him to the daughter in law. Blue lives on Riley Road near Arno Road. He normally stays on the property with a perimeter collar that was removed for a bath earlier that day.
We will have their information at the Rescue if he gets out again. He is a ๏ฟผgreat dog who has an abundance of energy and the dog loves the family so much. He couid hardly contain himself after seeing them drive up.
UPDATE: still no call, but we know heโs gotten the messages because he spoken to other people
