Dream Pony alert!!! The best pony ever is coming available since her young rider has sadly outgrown her. Skittles is a 12.2hh, 16yo appy POA Mare. A true, been there-done that unicorn. She has taken her young rider from D1-D3 pony club certification and pre-starter to BN, in the last 2 years. Competed in numerous eventing and CT rallies, games rallies, and TET rallies. Skittles is a Beginner Novice packer, but also completely beginner safe. She has given every beginner rider their first lesson here. Skittles has done numerous hunter paces, competed at HT's at KHP, Pony Club camps, flag ceremonies in the Rolex at LRK3DE, hunter shows etc... Current on everything. Easy Keeper. Skittles is priced in the High 4's.

Find out why we love The United States Pony Clubs!

Keeneland Pony Club and Serendipity Pony Club will be hosting a Pony Club 101 Meeting at the beginning of the year, for anyone interested in learning more about the United States Pony Club!

Open to all ages four and up - including adults!

There is no cost or obligation to attend this informational meeting. We want the horse loving community to join us to learn more about the USPC and what it has to offer both children and adults!

Pony Club promotes teamwork, a sense of responsibility, safety, self-confidence and leadership, while teaching members riding and the exceptional care of horses. Members build upon their horsemanship by progressing through the Standards of Proficiencies and earning certifications. With each level requiring an increased depth of knowledge and skill.

What a weekend!!! We had such a great time at Masterson Equestrian Trust YEH/NEH Qualifier and Eventing Derby,

Grace and Deniro landed in 2nd place in a competitive BN devision, with a fabulous dressage test and jump round! These two are ready for Champagne Run at the Park next week!

Ella and Sebastian rocked their dressage and come home with a beautiful clean jump round, landing them in 3rd place for their starter derby!

Anna-Beth and Louie put in their best dressage score yes and came home clean through the finish flags-landing them in 3rd for their starter derby division!!

Maya and Iron put in a beautifully polished dressage test and a speedy clean jump round. Coming home with the yellow ribbon for their BN derby!

Pinapple and I competed in the NEH qualifier, Pinapple being the talented beastie that she is- pulled a shoe walking to warmup. But she was game and we landed on a yellow ribbon top for the day!!

So proud of this crew, they all work so hard to reach their goals. But what I love the most is that their love of their horses comes before any ribbons. To be part of this and my extended eventing family just fills my heart with joy ❤️

This made me cry like a baby…so I’m sharing it with y’all!

❤I am a lesson horse.❤
I am a horse that isn’t as recognized as the top hunter jumpers, the best western pleasure horse, or the 1D barrel horse, I am a lesson horse. I am the backbone of the foundation to do all of those things. I am a lesson horse.
I am not loved by one person. I am loved by several people. I don’t have my person, I have my people. I am a lesson horse.
I will teach your child and yourself more than just to ride. I will bring your child out of their shell. I will teach your child about life. I will be yours and their shoulder to cry on. I am a lesson horse.
I will bring my family the joy of teaching kids. I will bring my families business growth. I am so loved by my family, even if they don’t express it everyday. My family allows others to show me love and enjoy me. I am a lesson horse.
At the end of your childs’ journey on a lesson horse, they will out grow me. They will find one that jumps higher, a horse that is show quality, a horse much faster than me. But, I will never outgrow being a lesson horse. I will be the one that loved your child and helped your child grow into the rider and person they are. I am a lesson horse.
At the end of my time as a lesson horse; I will be covered in grey hair. Each grey hair came from each hour I spent as a lesson horse. I will be in a field of green grass, I will be taken care of as I was when I was a lesson horse. I will watch your child from across the pasture love her new horse. But, I will love your child more than any horse can. I will be the backbone of the business, the family, and your child. Don’t forget about me, I am a lesson horse.

Ok everyone- I will taking a few days off at the end of the month to visit my family whom I haven’t seen in forever! I’ll be gone the 23rd-28th.

I’m trying to not interfere with lesson schedule as much as possible- however I can’t be in two places at once. So I will need to make a couple adjustments-

1. If you’re an hourly lesson student (not monthly Club student) we will need to skip your lessons during this time frame.

2. If you do an extra paid lesson, we will need to skip also.

3. Michelle had kindly stepped up and is giving up her small amount of free time. She is an amazing coach who has a lot of invaluable knowledge. She will be teaching lessons, so depending on your lesson time, we may need a adjust to work around her schedule. So I’ll be touching base with you in the near future!

4. I’ll need your help making sure everything is put away at the end of your ride so it can easily be found by the next riders. 🙂
