We are collecting recycling to help raise money for our daily, weekly, and monthly expenses in taking care of our rescue and sanctuary dogs at Southern Star Animal Rescue.

We LOVE getting "Pup-dates" on our Southern Star Alumni Dogs.

This is Blanche. She is a senior who had a very rough start in life. She now is living her best life and spends most days on her sale boat.

We love being able to help these dogs, and it is all because of our wonderful supporters.

It was such a wonderful day today!! Congratulations to Patty and Drago on getting adopted at Kahoots KONG DAY 2024!

Kahoots put on a wonderful event, and we were thrilled to be part of it!

‼️ Tomorrow is the day, KONG DAY 2024 at Kahoots in Menifee ‼️

Southern Star Animal Rescue will be there from 1:00pm to 3:30pm, Sunday, August 4th, with some adorable rescue dogs ready for adoption

There will be raffles and giveaways, and every dog that gets adopted will get a free gift basket sent to them from KONG.

Must be True Love Tuesday ❤️

Meet Sophie, she is a 12 yr old female Chihuahua

Sophie is a very sweet, playful girl who was surrendered from a family that lost their home. She came in with other dogs. They were having to sleep in the cab of the u haul for a couple of nights until a rescue was found. She is great with other dogs, cats, and children. She LOVES to play with toys and will play fetch. She is very loyal and will want to be right by your side.
She is working on leash training and is potty trained once she knows the door she will be heading outside to potty with.
She is spayed, current on vaccines, micro chipped, and dewormed.

Adoption fee: $ 200

We are on the home stretch for the week! It's almost Friday, and we have some adorable adoptable dogs ready for their furever homes!

How about this sweet boy here....

Ricardo is a 6 yr old male Pomeranian/Chihuahua Mix

Ricardo is a sweet boy who is good with other dogs, his own size, and teenage children.
He is potty trained with a doggie door but may need a reminder now and then, and he is working on leash training.
He is neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, has had a dental, and is micro chipped.

Adoption Fee: $ 250

I think it's True Love Tuesday ❤️ how about this adorable girl!!!

Patty is a 1 1/2 yr old female Miniature Pincher Mix

Patty is a very sweet girl who will be a bit shy at first but will warm up quickly. She, as well as a couple of her siblings/friends, were having to sleep in the cab of a u-haul for a couple of nights as her family lost their home down in the desert. She is good with older children and other dogs. She is working on leash and is potty trained with a doggie door.
She is spayed, current on vaccines, micro chipped, and dewormed.

Pancho is an 8 month old male Dachshund/Chihuahua Mix

Pancho is a sweet, playful boy who was surrendered from a family that lost their home. He came in with other siblings. ***Update on RootBeer and the Desert Dogs****

We were able to get RootBeer groomed, thanks to Pawlished Paws 🐾 for helping him. We are now able to see his eyes and get him in to get his eye infection taken care of, a check-up, and most likely a full dental cleaning.

We hope everyone's fur babies survived the fireworks 🎆
These three Southern Star Alumni Dogs are glad the loud noises are over.

While we love America's Birthday, we sadly have seen a lot of animals that got lost last night, and people are looking for the owners.

Please remember the importance of keeping these babies safe and making sure they are microchipped.

All our adoptable dogs are always microchipped prior to adoption.

Don't forget about Alice. We don't know why this sweet girl has not found her "furever" home. She is a 1 1/2 yr old female Terrier Mix Alice is a very sweet, loving, playful girl that is good other dogs, she does jump so no small children, 10 and above is best. She loves to be where you are, cuddle on your lap and sleep with you. She is potty trained, she will go to the door to let you know she needs to go out, she is getting used to the doggie door and good on a leash. Alice will NEED a yard to play in, she will NOT do well in an apartment or townhome. She is current on vaccines, spayed, dewormed and micro chipped. Monday breakfast with Aspen. Aspen is one of our adorable adoptable rescue dogs.

Crate cleaning day today!! Our rescue was donated these large crates. Its always amazing when we are gifted something to help with the dogs. 🐕🐾 All cleaned up and enjoying the beautiful weather.
