🌟 PAWSOME UPDATE: Zelena is THRIVING in her forever home! 🌟

Remember our sweet Zelena, one of our long-term babies who stole all our hearts? Well, we're absolutely over the moon to share that she's not just been adopted, she's truly settled in and loving life with her amazing new family! ❤️

It's incredible to see how far she's come, and it's all thanks to the wonderful connection with our rescue partners and the dedication of everyone involved in her journey, especially our fantastic transport team. Because of their hard work and collaboration, Zelena found the perfect place to call her own.

We hear she's getting all the love, playtime, and comfy naps a deserving pup could ask for – just like we always hoped for her. These updates remind us why we do what we do and highlight the magic that happens when great people come together for a deserving dog.

Let's talk about a common misconception: that adult dogs can't be trained. Here at Animal Harbor, our dedicated Canine Enrichment Team is rewriting that narrative every single day!

And at the heart of this incredible work is our amazing Pack Leader, certified dog trainer and Kennel Manager, Krystina Broda! Her expertise, passion, and unwavering dedication are the driving force behind the success we see.

Our shelter dogs, regardless of their past or age, are showing incredible potential and enthusiasm for learning thanks to Krystina's guidance and the volunteer team's hard work. They're mastering new skills, building confidence, and proving that with patience, positive reinforcement, and the right leadership, any dog can succeed.

Ever wonder who answers the phone when you call our shelter? Chances are, it's one of our four amazing volunteer phone receptionists!

📞 With Google reporting around 4️⃣,2️⃣8️⃣5️⃣ annual calls initiated just from our Google listing alone, these incredible individuals play a crucial role in keeping our wheels turning and, most importantly, helping us save lives.

Think about it: every call they answer is one less task pulling our programmatic staff away from caring directly for the animals. That extra time means more cuddles, more medical attention, and ultimately, more happy endings.❤️

We know you don't always get the exact answer you're looking for, but please know that our team, both staff and volunteers, is always here to listen, answer your questions, and help connect you with the resources you and your pets need.

A little reminder as the demand for our services reaches an all-time high: your kindness and understanding go such a long way in helping us help you. We're all in this really hard animal welfare work together!

While Lettie still has control of social media communications tonight, she wants to provide a special PSA.

ALL JOKES ASIDE:

I'm a beautiful cattledog mix, and I've spent almost my entire juvenile life at the shelter. I'm one of the last of my siblings still waiting for a forever home, and while the shelter has been a steady source of "family" for me for nine months, I know that nothing can replace the security and warmth of a forever home.

I'm leash trained and know basic commands, so I'm ready for walks and adventures with you! I'm fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped, so you don't have to worry about any of that.

I have a gentle and loving personality, but I do take a bit of time to warm up to new people. I need a confident leader who can provide me with the stability and attention that I deserve. With patience and understanding, I promise I'll become your loyal and loving friend.

Please give me the chance to experience the joy of a forever home. Come visit me at the shelter and see for yourself the incredible bond we can share. I can't wait to meet you!
