National Rescue Dog Day is a day to celebrate all of the dogs that have been in the shelter systems. Statistics show that 3.9 million dogs end up in rescues or shelters each year, and sadly so many of them don’t find their forever homes. In Barrow County, we are lucky enough to work with an Animal Control system that focuses on reuniting and rehoming the animals that end up in their care.
