My brain must be getting fried from the weather and yardwork! A couple of weeks ago I received a phone call from a lovely woman with one of my poodles. He is 11 now and they also have a slightly younger standard poodle. I spoke with her for several minutes about what she was looking for - dog suggestions, breeder reference, etc. She kindly shared some pictures of her beautiful two standards.
The problem is I accidentally deleted the text conversation and no longer have the number I think she called me from.
If this was you, could you please resend the pics and your name so I have them and can post them? Also I have a lead for you for a breeder.

Heads-up for owners of female pups from January litter - it is first heat time. Keep an eye on your baby and keep her on lead of out in public! Males can be very aggressive and persistent for several days before the discharge actually starts.
Expect about ten days of discharge, followed by about eight days of receptivity - she will be very interested in all male dogs during this time - followed by another week or so of discharge.

Edit: These adorable babies are 8 weeks old and ready to go Saturday! If interested, check out Sunshine Rescue here in CT. Eloise is spoken for but the other five are still available. They are regularly wormed and will have first shots and health check done.

Foster pups are four weeks old tomorrow! First puppy mash was pretty popular today...and a hilarious mess. Simon climbed right into the dish, Eloise is wearing a big glob smack in the middle of her forehead, and Penelope has a mash colored tail....Andi will have a fun time scrubbing them all down now.

And just like that we suddenly have a very quiet house. All five puppies are now with their families and thriving! An energetic little bunch. We will miss you Remus, Ellie, Quinn, Peaches, and Merida!

Gorgeous man about town alert! Cooper is meeting his half sister today and he was not overly impressed 😀. Gentle, a bit inquisitive, nervous, but not impressed. Peaches worked hard at being even cuter than normal, to no avail.

OK folks, here they are! These pups are out of Hogan's Run Spicy Rumors and sired by Sir Wyatt of the Northern Woods. Beautiful color and appetite at 4 day old. The male is sold and the four females are available.

Our beautiful Rumor safely delivered five lovely little pups yesterday. This is her final litter and she gave us four females and one male. All are fat and feeding well and momma is super attentive as always and already looking for playtime with Oscar.

The puppies have been enjoying their new play area immensely. Plus they got to have their first visits with their future families yesterday. All in all, just exhausting, as you can see. It takes a lot of energy to be this cute. 🐩 This is Weasly and Poppy at four weeks of age.

We have puppy buns in the oven!! Now the excitement can finally begin. Expected due date is 05 June. 🐩

We are less than 2 weeks away from ultrasound day! I have never been more unsure of a pregnancy than this time around. If Rumor is pregnant, we will know for sure on the 7th and we will even know how many puppies we are expecting! 🤞🐩

And we finally have a heat cycle started!! Yay! If all goes well, pups should arrive first few days of June. Will keep you all posted!
Meanwhile tick season is now in full swing. Make sure you begin and keep up with your tick control measures! Fleas are right behind them... Ugh.

Update on spring puppies: Rumor has still NOT gone into heat. For those of you waiting for a puppy, at this point, the earliest we would have puppies heading home with you is late July. If that is later than you prefer, please let me know, I am happy to connect you with a standard poodle breeder I respect.

Rumor got a haircut. So she is chilly at night. So I made her some long-john up-cycled pjs. We will see how long she tolerates them. Meanwhile she needs her evening face wresting with Oscar.
