Please do not give your pet aspirin. As this is a common human medication, many people typically have this medication in their medicine cabinet at home so it is easily available when your dog or cat seems to be in pain. However, this medication has severe side effects in dogs and cats. Aspirin can cause vomiting, diarrhea, intestinal ulcers, and liver and kidney failure leading to death at fairly low doses. In cats, aspirin can even cause destruction of their red blood cells leading to anemia and the inability to circulate oxygen to the rest of their body. In a cat, even a small portion of a baby aspirin can cause toxicity.

If you think your pet is in pain, please contact us at 507-831-1473 and we are happy to discuss more safe options to help control your pet's pain. We strongly advise not giving your pet aspirin (this includes dog specific aspirin) unless directed and under the supervision of your veterinarian.

If you know your dog has ingested aspirin or any other human medication please give us a call immediately.

UPDATE ONLY 8 SPOTS LEFT.

We are offering an amazing opportunity to neuter cats at a low cost for low income households. To qualify, you must be approved for EBT or other financial assistance programs.

We currently are only offering this for male cats. If you are not aware if your cat is male or female, you can bring it into the clinic at any time and we can check for you. Must be over 20 weeks of age.

First drop off: Before 7:30AM will be the drop off time for the 12 male cats. Pick up will be at 12PM.

Second drop off: At 12PM will be the drop off time for the next 12 male cats. Pick up will be at 5PM.

When you call to schedule, make sure you know which drop off time you will have.

Must bring a carrier. If you do not have a carrier, please get in contact with the rescue to borrow one or ask a neighbor.

Payment required at time of drop off.

A quick reminder that we will be closed for thanksgiving on Thursday. Please remember to pick up any medications your pets need before Thursday!

Please keep your pets health in mind this year. As tempting as it is to share our big delicious thanksgiving meals with our furry friends, it is not the healthiest option and in some cases can cause harm to them quickly.
