Classes start one week from today! So here are just a few housekeeping reminders.
There will be some paperwork for you to complete the first night, but it will be done as part of class so there is no need to show up early.
PUPPY CLASS is from 6:00-7:00 pm.
*Doors will open at 5:50 for you to come in.
*Please remember to bring in a copy of any updated shot records since you signed up and bring them in throughout the six week class as your puppy receives their boosters.
*Do not bring your puppy to class if he/she is showing any signs of illness. We are dealing with immune systems that are not fully developed and in some cases, not even fully immunized because of their age. Please be considerate of all the attendees. Contact your instructor the day of class if you are in doubt if you should attend.
*Puppies will have accidents! To reduce the number of accidents inside, make sure you take them potty once you arrive at the building but before bringing them in. There are p**p bags at the p**p station. They can be disposed of at the station or in the dumpster close to the building.
*Proper equipment (collars and leashes) will be discussed the first night, but ALL puppies must be on an actual leash (retractable or flexi leads are not allowed).
*And remember there will be another class coming after yours, so be aware of your puppies as they leave. We don’t want them to startle or encounter a dog who is not a fan of puppies on their way out.
PET MANNERS CLASS is from 7:15-8:15 pm.
*There is a puppy class immediately before yours. Please give them space as they are leaving the building and heading to their vehicles. There should be no nose to nose greetings (or really any type of greetings between any dogs) between your dog and the puppies.
*Because of the class before yours, please do not enter the building until 7:10 or until you see the instructor in the doorway giving you the all clear signal.
*Stress and nervousness of the unknown often causes dogs to eliminate their bowels even if they just went before leaving home. Please give your dog the opportunity to use the bathroom in the grassy area before entering the building. There are p**p bags at the p**p station that can be thrown away there or in the dumpster.
*Proper equipment will be discussed the first night of class. All dogs must enter and leave the building on a regular leash, retractable and flexi leads are NOT allowed.
*If your dog has known triggers or is reactive to certain things (other dogs, men with beards, etc) please let the instructor know before class starts so that your dog can be positioned in the building appropriately.
We are looking forward to another round of successful training! Please message us if you have any questions or concerns before Monday.
